Well it would appear that EBGames Canada has decided to take selling used titles a little underground. Right now when you walk into an EBGames/GameStop Canada you have a new section and a used section. The new section has all of the new un-openned software with a white price tag. While their is a used section with games selling cheaper and an identifiable yellow price tag.
It would appear GameStop/EBGames wants to increase its used sales. Right now any consumer whether they be a tech savvy gamer or a soccer mom picking up a Christmas gift can plainly see that a game is being sold used. Its easily identifiable and nobody is going to mistake a used copy for a new one. Well EB wants to correct this, obviously they want to sell more used copies. I mean every used copy is almost entirely profit they don't pay the manufacturer the distributor. They pocket every dime other then the exchange rate they purchased the title for which most often is pocket change.

So to make sure people buy more used software GameStop/EBGames is reportedly mixing the used and new sections together. Now that would be acceptable making more room on the shelves right. Well they are also taking the yellow price tags and turning them white meaning you will walk into your local EBGames and you will see the game you want on the shelf with no distinctive color. Used and New will look alike. So you'd have to assume the new copy is the more expensive one right? Wrong in the past EBGames has sold their used copies at a higher retail price then the new ones.
Now of course this is a leak and not confirmed report from GameStop/EBGames Canada. The leaked memo has been verified by multiple sources but not EBGames Canada themselves. Also the memo didn't mention if the label may say used on it or such. Its unclear how bad it is.
