Well that's a fu@#!ng surprise. Someday, soon even, they will pay dearly for ostracizing us X360 owners.

Their main audience is in Japan as you know where 360 is selling ganbuster. Yup, they will pay dearly. /s /s /s

Tell that to the good and noble people at 5pb. or Cave. They know it's important to nurture a rabid, tightly knit fanbase. Their games might be selling poorly now, but they know where the future lies.

But then shouldn't I be talking about how Cave and 5pb will pay dearly for ostracizing us PS3 owners?  I mean atleast Gust games are selling well and they're making record profits according to them, perhaps Cave is in a similar situation, I haven't been reading up on them.  Is your theory that the future of Japanese gaming lies in the 360 because that seems unlikely.

The future for third parties is multi-platform. I don't mind that they make games for the PS3 (like 5pb. for instance); I mind that they don't give us X360 owners the light of day.

For most games multiplatform is the way to go, but I don't think you'll ever see that for all games.  Some genres and publishers just find a niche and do their best to service and nurture that niche.  The same way you compliment Cave for building up a fanbase on 360 and sticking to it I think of NIS in the same manner for PS3 and PSP.  Long as they continue to make money I think it's sometimes best to just stick with what you know how to do and you know you can make money at.  Cave has done that for 360, and NIS/Gust have done that for PS3.  I doubt either will pay dearly for it.  We aren't talking about huge companies like Activision or EA, sometimes for smaller companies it's better and perfectly acceptable to not overreach and instead keep things simpler and smaller.  You're just going to have to buy a PS3/PSP if you want NIS games, same way I'll have to buy a 360 if I want Cave games.

Maybe the time's ripe for things to change.

yes they've mentioned that, but that is NISA, which means they might localize some things for the 360 but you still will miss out on games such as this.  To my knowledge NISA does not have the ability to port something by themselves and nothing I read there makes me think that's what they're planning to do.  Again, if you want an NIS or Gust published game you'd better just buy another console because it doesn't seem like either is going to develop for the 360 anytime soon and I disagree with the idea that they are or will suffer significantly for that decision..

edit: actually seems I misunderstood the previous anouncement, so we'll just have to see if NISA decides it's worth doing this more often for the things they publish in the states.  Long as they continue on something I own I'll be more than happy, but I will still bet that a vast mafority of their titles will not be getting a treatment like Clan of Champions.

NIS America has no say on what titles developers like Nippon Ichi decide to produce, so they might end publishing heavily for everybody except the X360. That being said, they understand it would be desirable to also take into consideration the X360 fanbase, at least from a next gen viewpoint. Look at Namco: they kept Dark Souls PS3 exclusive in Japan, but for a western release, specially in the US, exclusion was not a viable option. X360 numbers are just too large to ignore. Like I said before, console exclusives is not the way for third parties to go.
