He's fucking awesome, that's how good he is. He's the guy who did the music for Final Fantasy I-XII (he did very little for XII though) so that means Dancing Mad, One Winged Angel, Celes theme, Terra's theme, To Zanarkand, Liberi Fatali, Vamo' alla Flamenco are all his compositions.

He was the full composer for FF 14 also. Lost Odyssey and Last Story, I like all his work, even in games that blow.

Yes Masashi is still the "main" composer for XIII-2. Mizuta (Parasite Eve, Street Fighter, RE2), Suzuki (Done some remixes in Dissidia and Sigma Harmonics) & Nobuo (FFI-X, XIV) are side composers. Or maybe all four have equal contribution.
As the game has a lot to do with time travel & travelling to/from many areas in different times I reckon each composer will handle certain parts of history/future.
Wow. This is actually good news. I have nothing bad to say about the guy. He has the best soundtracks in video games I personally thinkz.
I'm still not sold on the game though.

FFXIII was my first FF game so I don't know any of those, but I'll trust the bolded - Great news!! :D

He made FFVI sountrack. That is enough to test how EPIC he is.
He also helped in a little of Chrono Trigger's soundtrack, once again, proving he is epic.
