How Far Are You?

I am in the Intro 31 15.42%

I just beat the 1st dungeon 27 13.43%

I am like in the middle 26 12.94%

I am not that far from being finished 22 10.95%

I am done 50 24.88%

I have no idea how far I am 23 11.44%

Neutral 22 10.95%

Total:201

So far, I have to look for [*Late game SPOILERS*] the third dragoon in Lanayru. It was amazing how Faron Woods was flooded, and the Eldin Volcano quest reminds me of Metroid Prime because you have to claim your 'habilities'.

And, this is my rank for my favorite boss battle in Skyward Sword:

  • Ghirahim battle 2 (Fire Santuary) -
  • Disney boss (Sanship) & Koloktos (Ancient Cistern) -
  • Ghirahim battle 1 (Skyviw Temple) -
  • Narisha & the monster -
  • Scaldera (Earth Temple) -
  • Scorpion boss (Mining Facility) -
  • The Imprisiones 3>2>1 (Sealed Grounds) -

And from what I have read, the coolest boss are ahead.

I just reached the sand ship. Except one or two fillers, I'm still enjoying the game.

Me too! Still trying to figure it out how to save the crew.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Devised my own strategy for the first Ghirahim fight. I figured out that if i leaned towards his non-sword arm (though the way he holds the sword when he runs, it looks like his sword side) and downward-slashed as he came in, i could get him 4 times out of 5, which was enough. The guide recommended shield-bashing, which i simply cannot do...

I guess you mean when he charges you. Yeah took me a while to figure out I could hit him before he started a slash... I generally backflipped out of the way (which has to be timed right or his slash hits you in the head while you are in the air) then jump striked him, but yeah, better if you can get him earlier.

Not sure if shield bashing will work, not tried it for that bit.

Just a question though, why are you using a guide on your first playthrough (or tbh at all)?

I tend to buy them for Zelda games, those being one of 4 franchises i'll buy guides for. The others are 3D Mario, Metroid, and Pokemon

They do help out for the stuff that i would never think of. Like where you have to roll the bomb towards the lava plug to advance: i never would have thought the bomb's blast radius was that big or that i could roll them that far

Looks like everyone is having trouble with Ghirahim. He was actually hard since you only had 6 hearts and him hitting you costs one heart. It is also a long battle and getting a heart is dangerous.

Though I just past the Sand Ship and heading to the Volcano. The sand ship was good when I wasn't stuck and running around like a idiot.  Also the Arrows you get was quite awesome. It felt epic just using it and sniping enemies from miles away.  Though finding the ship was one big filler. I think I spent more time on the filler then the ship.

Also I never understood Ghirahim's first part. I get that I need to quickly hit him in the area he's not covering, and I did that, but he always grabbed it. I just had to get lucky a lot. Second part is much better. I did OK on the second part after I figured out his patterns but I'd probably destroy him now because I shield bash like almost everything now. I'll wait for the boss rush...

You basically just have to hit the jewel on his belt with horizontal swings. It can easily be done by holding your sword to the top right, so he will move his hand to the spot farthest away from the jewel. Then you move the Wiimote slowly (as in only as fast to not make an attack) into the position where you can make a horizontal swing from left to right to initiate a three hit combo. Works every single time.

It has absolutely nothing to do with quick reflexes, that's the trick to it.

So that's the root of the matter. What i got working was approaching him with my shield up and the sword hanging way out on the right side, sitting there for a couple seconds (since he just doesn't attack), and then attacking, but that makes sense

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Last night I get the Hylian Shield, feels epic to get it. Before got the game I was expecting to craft it maybe upgrading the shields in olny one, or with specials treasures. The boss battle mode with the thunder dragoon is a good idea. I hate the imprisioned...

I know many people don't like these parts of the game, but Silent Realm in Skyloft!! I liked it. And can't believe I'm looking for the Triforce. Not just one part, the whole TRIFORCE.

Aside from the imprisioned fights, it's becoming my favorite Zelda game, Too much content and quest outside dungeons.
