Forums - Gaming - *What Is The Difference Between Genesis Models?*

Ok, Sega fans I have a question for you guys:

What is the difference between Sega Genesis model 1 and model 2?

I realize that they look different but is that it? Is it like the PS3 and PS3 Slim?

Basically, I want to know is there something that the Genesis model 2 can do that Genesis model 1 can,t? Can they play the same games and everything? By the way I am talking about the American Genesis models.

Thank you for all who respond!

There is actually 3 models (of which I know). You can think of the Genesis 3 as a slim of the Genesis. I got the Genesis 3 when my original Genesis stopped working. I am not exactly sure what the Genesis 2 consists of though.

I think they look slighty different depending on the country but yes it's the megadrive.

Anyway, I assume they work the same in all country's so please tell me if there is a difference between the Megadrive model 1 and Model 2.
