Europe countries in the report...

United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

All there countries together sold 2,007,907 units of GT5 in 35 days.

VGC had it at 3,266,448 for ALL EMEAA and not 17 countries.

And not to mention the report not counted games bundled with hardware.

Those and Australia/NZ are the most important markets in EMEAA by a long shot. It doesn't seem that they would have sold 1.25 million games in the rest of EMEAA, so numbers seem a bit over, even if you consider bundles.

Say that to Finland... fastest double-platinum selling game ever.

40k in the first week.

Yeap... that's just one little country not counted in the report :D... there are more hummmm 32 countries in Europe and of course the rest of EMEAA .

You should know Europe has lots of low population countries, and most of their habitants don't have the purchase power of Germany or France. What I'm saying is that is very probable that GT5, at least in that time frame, is a bit (200-400K) overtracked in EMEAA.

The simple fact the Platinum Edition is already out show VGC could be a little under with GT5... not over.

And 2 million without bundle... 2.3 million with bundle... less the 1 million others Europe countries and EMEAA? Seems ok for me.

Do you know that those 17 countries in the report should be more than 80% of the total EMEAA sales? They are the biggest markets of Sony in EMEAA by a long shot.

For most of Sony games... but GT is a exception... sell bigger number in small countries too.

Finland is just a example... I can search for more (it break records in India too... over 20k first week).

GT sells big numbers in every market, it's the biggest Sony exclusive. That doesn't mean that it magically has a different sales distribution than other games, so different that it sells much more proportionally than other games in the small markets. We're talking here of a relation of units sold in big versus small markets, not about an absolute number of units sold in this or that market. If you want to cherry pick, I'm sure that you will find "huge" numbers in some small countries, but it doesn't mean that GT sold ~35% in the countries that should represent less than 20% of the sales.

The ratio big/small countries is different for GT... small countries represent more in GT games than other games.

Anyway... it sold over 20k in first week in India too .

Whatever you want to believe to be happy. Just a question, how much did you predict GT5 would sell LTD?

*Sigh*
Honestly, someone needs to shut up Ethomaz BADLY.

@Kynes

You have some perspective... so the numbers we knows for first week:

UK: 265k
France: 235k
Spain: 92k
Italy: 100k

Finland: 40k
India: > 20k

Small countries do not seem so small :D.

I predicted it will be the 2nd best selling GT to date... so over 11.19m shipped.
