Forums - Sales - A lot of big games in EMEAA overtracked? Including gasp Halo Reach and Gran Turismo 5

Europe countries in the report...

United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

All there countries together sold 2,007,907 units of GT5 in 35 days.

VGC had it at 3,266,448 for ALL EMEAA and not 17 countries.

And not to mention the report not counted games bundled with hardware.

Those and Australia/NZ are the most important markets in EMEAA by a long shot. It doesn't seem that they would have sold 1.25 million games in the rest of EMEAA, so numbers seem a bit over, even if you consider bundles.

would be nice to know about turkey but they miss some gamer nations like norway and finland. sure norway/finland are very small but still i think they alone count for something like 1/20 of usa's sales.

like i said they miss like 150-200 million europeans in this calculation and africa.

Say that to Finland... fastest double-platinum selling game ever.

Norway and Finland have ~5 million people each, USA more than 300 million people, and in Europe there is a much bigger PC gaming culture than in USA, so I don't think Norway/Finland are near 1/20 USA sales

OMG!

GT5 shipped 4 million standard copies for 31st December 2010 for Europe (4.2 million in EMEAA).

PD already released the Platinum Edition on Europe... so GT5 sold something near 4 million in Europe for sure (how many standard copies have in stock in Europe stores befere the release of Platinum Edition?).

VGC had GT5 at 4,189,085 for ALL EMEAA.

Seems like UNDERTRACKED in Europe.

gran turismo is overtracked so stop spinning

For GT5? It's more like Finland near 1/10 US sales .

you don't think so and i think so. they have like 1/30 of population combined and they all have money not only half the population like us-americans. and gt is a racing game which yeah scandinavia...

You should know Europe has lots of low population countries, and most of their habitants don't have the purchase power of Germany or France. What I'm saying is that is very probable that GT5, at least in that time frame, is a bit (200-400K) overtracked in EMEAA.
