Lostplanet22 said: I remember it so well, the first time that we saw footage of demon souls, the game looked crap, member were laughing with the glitches in the video and a lot of them already judged the game as being an mediocre game before even trying it, except a few who gave the game a chance and couldn't stop postive comments and how everyone should try the game and not just judge the game on the video's you see, many were so stubborn and didn't want to waste money but when the reviews came in they give a try and most loved it... Well you would expect that members who went trought that stage aswell would not just judge skyrim on the video's they see but atleast give it a try...but no they rather prefer to act as an moron...Even buy it and then complain on every skyrim thread how horrible the game looks and how everyone say it is bad that they know and how glitchy it is while adding that they are happy that they did not open the game yet and can bring it back.. Sigh I am not giving any name but their are some pathetic bitter gamers on this site.. |
i got to be one of them.
when Valkyria Chronicles came out, i tried too much to convince people to play it, everyone thought it was a generic shooter, i tried to convince them to try the demo, to see its not a shooter, then people were not satisfied with the demo, then i went all "the demo didn't show much really, its just a small piece of what the game is, and the game is great" , many months later, and then even sega started getting their attetion on Vghchartz
, so they made a "post your story" competition on vgchartz.
when Demon's Souls came out , i kept saying how it was the best game that no one ever played, i bragged on that it was one of the best PS3 games that you should easily buy a PS3 just to play it, i wasn't exaggrating, but people didn't bother, then came a bit of articles about how hard is the game, and i convinced some wimpy people that it is not really that hard if you aren't retarded, and then came that "Game of the year" from gamespot and i convinced a LOT of people to vote for Demon's Souls, and it won it , and then people FINALLY started to buy it... jeez
When Yakuza 3 came out, i made this thread
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=107783&page=
and was pretty rash about people who knew about it , and own a PS3, but didn't play the game calling them "assholes", of course the thread was locked, but i made other threads to try and convince people to play it, such as how many min games it has and how many stuff you can do, and to this day Xxain is probably the guy who remembers it, but i had an argument with him about how the game isn't a brawler but is a sandbox, kinda like shenmue, he is still to this day not convinced, but i did make a LOT of people play it and enjoy it, and also made Sega release Yakuza 4 and the one coming soon, thats another game from sega, they should seriously hire me xD
now moving on to Deus Ex, a lot of people hated on it because its not Metal Gear or its a Metal Gear Rip off, so i made this thread to convince MGS fans to pick it up, and stated a lot of reasons, of course like always some people just had to be dicks
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=133478
and then after quite a few attempts , i gave up, and went to youtube looking at random videos of deus Ex, and stumbled on the "i never asked for this" video right here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Unl-UZ1Fjg&feature=watch_response_rev
it had pretty little views but i found it funny, so i did this video as a respounse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGBqUGDUmmQ
and then out of nowhere it went viral and everyone started to make a video respounse or a spoof of it, so i went on funnyjunk.com yeah its not really a game site and then posted the meme on a picture of a meme (memeception) , at first they didn't get it , but then it actually became a bigger meme

So now i'm doing the same thing all over again with skyrim, but its really not the game that went under the radar , but some people still shun it because it doesn't look japanese enough or something like that.
phew i typed a lot.
edit: and yeah before you ask , i actually did work in marketing for about 2 years, but it was for phones not games.
