Soooo what does that mean for those engines? Seems obvious its a GPU helper but to what degree?
That's what I'm wondering. I can't really interpret the detailed breakdown of the Move engine processes.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

That's what I understood: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5098479
HappySqurriel said: While the fanboy assumption seems to be that developers desperately want to work with the most powerful hardware, I think the reality is that the Wii U and "XBox 720" are (potentially) so similar in processing power because their consultations with third party publishers and developers indicated that they didn’t want cutting edge hardware. I'm sure there are probably some teams that desperately want to work on hardware that is 16 or 32 times as powerful as the HD consoles, I suspect most teams want to keep development costs and timelines at (roughly) the same level they currently are; and this would be (almost) impossible in the middle of a graphical arms race that is driven by the release of new (super) high powered consoles. |
^.^ you def explain things way better than i do. My writing sucks balls.

superDaE is the guy who tried to sell the Durango devkit last August.
When someone replied with this image:
He stated:
So Microsoft is working hard to make the Durango better... so 2014 release? Because there is no time to change a hardware a lot for 2013 release.

No.
Maybe they moved to be more inline with GDDR5 plus DD3 ram and/or just changed GPU specs to be higher powered.... It can only be small changes to not affect overall structure.
But, its still all coming to NA in 2013. Other regions could be in 2014, but NA and likely Japan for Sony will be in 2013.

The GPU specs can be more easy to change if it's just add more units using the same arch but change the memory is like to change all the project... new bus width... new components... new memory control... etc etc etc... even the motherboad have to be changed.
I can't see that kind of change like I can't see Sony putting 8GB insted 4GB... because the work and costs to do that this in time to release in 2013... all the components have to be in production before July to a possible release in November.

its basically almost a fact now, p4 will be more powerful, those move engines help out, but not enough to get it to ps4 levels from what i read, people always wanna believe in magic, but i think everything is set in stone now.
