I think that BC is important the first year or so of a new console, so the fact that Msoft is taking care of it is a bonus.

And if they make the new Kinect a peripheral again it will have the same fate as the original one. Only a few games will use it.

IF and a BIG IF at that, they have made a deal, it could be something to do with maybe forfiet BluRay royalties or perhaps a deal to have very similar architecture (not power just) hardware so devs can develop multiplatforms easier on their systems and shun out Nintendo.

I suspect something's been lost in translation. I think it's just that they've both cemented deals on hardware production/manufacture and the differences between the two designs are around 10%.

No, unless the ballpark is very big and WiiU is playing on its own in a small section of it with PS4/720 taking up most of the "power" park.

It's difficult to say much about the CPU power as the architecture in the WiiU is very different to AMD/X86 architectures, but the WiiU GPU looks to be fairly weak in comparison and if the RAM rumours turn out to be true then we'll be seeing some significant differences between the consoles. The rumoured power consumption between the devices is also fairly telling (WiiU only uses ~32 Watts compared to the rumoured 200+ Watts of the PS4/720).

If by in the same ballpark you count 5-6x as WiiU, then yes. ;)
