Empire Strikes back, it would of been return of the Jedi but the Ewoks suck, they're cute and would be fine in a different role but there wooden arrows pierce Stormtrooper amror... and it takes away fromt he empire when it's defeated by teddy bears.
Didn't like the "first" 3.

Episode 2 just did not deserve to be a movie at all. But I have to disagree with you about Episode 3. To me, it absolutely epitomized the themes that Lucas tries to portray with the series. Fear of the power of the dark side, anger, revenge, constant struggle of good vs evil (even within oneself), it was all present and accounted for. Even more so than in Empire/Jedi. Just my opinion, of course. |
He turned evil WAY to quick. He went from, conflicted and considering going evil to save his wife to killing kids in like one scene. I mean he totally murdered a bunch of kids.

Ah, but the beauty of it is, that he was overhwhelmed by the dark side, and when he went to see what was happening with Mace Windu and Palpatine, he didn't know that Mace already tried to arrest him. All he saw was Mace holding Palpatine, his lifetime mentor, at sabre-point. This is when he turned to the dark side. Also, remember, Palpatine manipulated his ravaged mind into thinking that killing the Jedi would make him strong enough to save Padme.
I'm gonna go with Clone Wars the cartoon. Not a movie, but such a great series, and General Grevious actually kicks ass, kills tons of Jedi, and doesn't cough like a wimp.
Out of the movies, Empire Strikes Back is my favorite...the fight with the AT-AT walkers and harpoon guns and such was epic, and it's still an entertaining movie to watch today...everything a sequel should be.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
And my order of movies, since it says something about taste in movies...
V (explained above)
VI (took Star Wars and made it a technical masterpiece, a very colorful, full film)
IV (Revolutionary sci-fi movie, its sequels were better to me though)
I (yeah it's lame, but it did revitalize Star Wars and it was a fun movie, the end battle was good)
III (tied the story together, waay too cheesy though)
II (pure cheese)
I don't like the prequels, and not because of the material, but because of the script and George's directing. I'd love more movies about the Star Wars Universe based before Episode IV, but they can be done much better (see Clone Wars, or KOTOR).

i never thought i'd find someone that shares my hatred of star wars. and on a gaming forum of all places :P

I actually like the games a lot more than the movies. The nature of Star Wars has pushed gaming technology many times, thanks to LucasArts and its deep pockets.
X-Wing, TIE Fighter - GREAT space sims, untouchable for years.
Jedi Knight II - Excellent blending of an FPS with a third-person lightsaber game...still the best lightsaber combat system out there...a great game in general.
Rogue Squadron - Great flight/space fighter from Factor 5...too bad skinning the ships as dragons didn't work out.
KOTOR - Obviously, Bioware makes great RPGs, and KOTOR I and II are groundbreaking examples.
Force Unleashed - New game coming out soon that has the new Euphoria character animation along with DMM particle system, which cause items to shake and break like they should, such as throwing someone onto a sheet of plywood, causing it to splinter correctly, meanwhile that character's AI intelligently grabs onto what he can to stay alive.
But of course all these games are simply fun as well, which is the more important thing.

@Ben:
It also says something when, when a new console is announced, people immediately think "OMG! A Star Wars game will be awesome!"
