1st....1st one made

2nd....2nd one made

3rd....3rd one made

Reason.....the last 3 were fucking shit!!

:P

Episode 3. There was a palpable tension throughout the movie, because you already knew what was going to happen, but not the circumstances under which it happens. Very intense.

Also, Obi-Ani lightsaber duel is the best of the entire series.

The Phantom Menace because of Jar Jar Binks. Yes, I sure love that Jar Jar Binks. He's great. Can't get enough of that Jar Jar. And the kid too. Nothing annoying about him. Not in the slightest. A fantastic child actor whose face you would never, ever want to stamp on... repeatedly... for hours on end.

Some people that grew up with the original trilogy think George Lucas should be roasted on a spit for sullying their beloved franchise with a puerile 2+hour toy commercial featuring excruciating dialogue and an endless parade of offensive racial stereotypes, but not me. No. Not me.

If I have to choose one of the "movies", I'll go with Return of the Jedi. The final battle between Vader and Luke is the most passionate and stirring of all the lightsaber battles in the series.

Otherwise I would choose the Clone Wars cartoons. Simply amazing.

i hate star wars.

@ Played: I agree with you, to a point. Episode 1, while decent as a 'movie' did not deserve to carry the Star Wars banner (though I liked JarJar, unlike most). Episode 2 just did not deserve to be a movie at all.

But I have to disagree with you about Episode 3. To me, it absolutely epitomized the themes that Lucas tries to portray with the series. Fear of the power of the dark side, anger, revenge, constant struggle of good vs evil (even within oneself), it was all present and accounted for. Even more so than in Empire/Jedi. Just my opinion, of course.

 Full of Win.

And Mr. Pickles....perhaps you should read this post again....with a more discerning eye.

Empire Strikes Back

"I'm your father"

Ep 1 was great with the podracers, the battle with Darth Maul, but is so freaking dumb how he gets killed...

Ep 2 was awesome with Jango Fett vs Obi Wan, but again the fights with Dooku end so bad...

Ep 3 was the best of the CGI, but General Grevious was so useless against Obi Wan (In contrast with the cartoon version), the last battle was the best one, but again, ends up so dumb...

Ep 4 is ok

Ep 5 is the best, but Boba looks like a girl

Ep 6 is good and all, but the price is taken by Ep 5

Ok, I did, now what? I grew up with the original SW movies (I wasn't born yet when they came out , but I did see them all many times before the prequels were even announced). Besides the special effects and action, the thing that draws you into the original movies is the constant struggle of good vs. evil, conflict within oneself, corruption, and use and abuse of power.  Episode 3 absolutely epitomizes those themes, and that's why I believe it is the best of the 6 movies.

Episode 2, I completely agree with him on--terrible acting, hard-to-follow story, action where special effects took the place of people, etc.

Episode 1, I think would have been accepted as a movie on its' own, had it not been tied to the SW franchise.

For what it's worth, here's how I would order the movies:

1. Episode 3

2. Episode 5

3. Episode 6

4. Episode 4

5. Episode 1

6. Episode 2
