IGN is definitely one of the better review sites considering their reviews consistently match the reviewed games metacritic score roughly.

Yeah because we all know how beneficial voice acting was to the Metroid series.

You should read and watch their review people, it is excelent.

Honestly I still have to beat Twilight Princess, I haven't beaten a single Wii game despite owning the console for an entire year.
I will get it, it's just IGN has gotten stupid lately. They shouldn't give 10/10's so easily. Not saying this game doesn't deserve it more then any other 10/10 they have given recently, but 10/10 should be a reserved score.
Only grip I have against this game is that art style. IGN said they loved how it struck a cord between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, I think that's stupid. Wind Waker was ugly, they should try to follow the art style set by Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, and Twilight Princess, as well as the Gamecube and Wii U tech demos. That's how Zelda should look to me.
However they said the dungeon layouts were the best ever, so I am looking forward to this game. Just not in a while.
Anyway the article is more then just about inflated scores, it's about maxing scores. Perfect scores should be reserved and IGN has gotten far too leaneant with their scoring.
Also for those who don't know, Uncharted 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, GTA IV, and MGS4 (non of which I think desevre a 10/10 IMHO) got perfect scores in the last 3 years. This makes 5 games in 3 years, and 2 games this fall.
Before this gen, the only console games to get 10/10's were Ocarina of Time and Soul Calibur. Dramatic change eh?
Machina Nice prediction
pezus I'm arguing the 20 point system is stupid, too many (not every) game gets 10/10, their scores for all games are too inflated, and whever the hell reviews games in IGN is crazy now. VGC, and IMO GT (Acronyms!!!!) are better.
Just want to know, what other reivew sites do people still trust around here?
Andrespetmonkey Yes I agree with the score difference from 75 to 80, but I think games which are 9/10 or higher should be graded more strictly then by a rating of either 9,9.5 or 10/10. I think a game which games 98/100 hows significant meaning compared to one that gets 99/100, or 95/100. 10/10 means basically perfect, 99/100 means there was 1 annoying flaw, 98/100, means they didn't like the ending (Halo 2)
osama Getting a high score because it's a Zelda game is another complaint I have. I don't think people who aren't mega Zelda fans, or new to Zelda, will find this 10/10. Ocarina of time was a great game, and this is a great sequal, but being a Zelda title, scores are probably inflated. This is probably true for any platform exclusive AAA title, and this is why almost no platform exclusive AAA titles score below 9/10, when sometimes they should. This is also why ModernWarfare never scores below 8.5./10 (The first one was great, but the next two aren't that different, common).
