Forums - Gaming - New Assassins Creed and Call of Duty announced.

It wouldnt surprise me if this was the last COD to see an increase over the previous game.

Already? Geez. I mean, we know they're coming, but can't they wait until the holidays are over to announce them?

BTW, I'm getting a bit tired of AC. I love the games, but a yearly release is too much. I hope they release AC3 next year and finish the story, and I may not get Revelations. I don't care for MW because they don't interest me.

i've quoted you allot in the last wk and twice today. your on a roll. that doesn't happen often. i agree. AC needs a break. the thing is i still buy the games that come out yrly every 2 yr's. COD sucks.

Yearly releases don't matter if they can keep the game quality very high.

I dont get why people complain about yearly releases? theres always the option of not buying the game. In any case, if ubisoft or activision made a new franchise would you buy it? after all it will probably become immensely popular, in which case the hate will start all over again, then there will be cries for yet another new franchise. And so on and so on. Pointless cycle.

Assassins creed has not gotten boring. Somehow they manage to improve and change the gameplay enough for each installment to feel different from the previous. AC2 was a massive improvement over AC1, and AC:B refined the gameplay and added a lot of new features. AC:R is the only one that looks samey to me. Also its not entirely fair to compare a numbered AC title to a non numbered title. The only way i think you could gauge whether ot nor AC is on a downward trend is when AC:3 releases.

I think its amazing how the developers are able to produce quality titles every year.

hey we already knew this, that what we have learnt over the last 4 years

COD'S success will slowly come to a halt after next year

with next gen coming and people geting sick of COD,i am waiting for that day when Activision has nothing else to milk

People arnt getting sick of COD, the games are getting more popular by the year.

thats just causal crowd getting onboard, they buy anything that is popular and hyped

Once hardcore leaves then casuals leave too

Casuals don't follow the hardcore.

Also, you ever consider the fact that CoD's quality may be responsible for it's success?

If those sales numbers reflect cods quality, Uncharted 3 should be well on it's way to 20 million sold right now.
But seriously, cod is a good series, but compared to others, it doesn't deserve the sales it makes.
