Hey guys I just have a couple of questions regarding something that has been bugging me out the last day or so.
Dark Souls has just recieved an update a couple of days ago for the JPN version and nothing for the US/EU versions. Both versions have already had (1) update.
So...
#1.) Is it true that XBox LIVE has a restriction on the amount of updates per game in a given year? I ask this because rumblings around the web is that Namco will hold off on giving us the update until a later date when they feel everything has been ironed out, causing the PS3 online experience to be fragmented due to Japan playing a different version.
#2.) If the answer to Q.#1 is Yes, then can someone pelase explain why they have this stupid rule? It is a paid for service, I just don't understand a restriction like this. Why can't Namco just leave the XBox version on 1.03 and let the PS3 update to 1.04? They aren't comingled so what's the deal?
#3.) Is this is true does it piss off anyone else but me? One of the fixes in this update was the glitch that caused Solaire's quest to get all fucked up in NG+ as well as helping to fix the online issues and weapon scaling, not to mention nerfing cheap PVP spells like Ring of Fog.
I seriously hope this isn't true and if it is I hope Namco only holds it back on LIVE because PS3 owners shouldn't pay the price for LIVE's dumb rules.
So please someone tell me this isn't true.
Thanks.
