Forums - PC - Fatshark Making PC RPG for 2012

Swedish devs Fatshark have announced that they are making an action RPG called Krater. The game will arrive at some point in 2012 and is set in a post-apocalyptic world that features, well, a crater. Fatshark explain a little bit about the game, saying that “the base pillars are crafting, exploration and consequence.” Exploration, eh? We’ll see about that, I suppose. They also claim that “the innovative control setup allows you to effectively command a party of three characters simultaneously.”

There’s a video with Fatshark’s Martin Wahlund talking about the game in a bit more detail below. (Via Blue.)

Looks interesting, 2012 is looking to be a good year for RPGs

i lost interest when they mention "set in a post-apocalyptic world"
enough!

i want something like Mass Effect but more open world, planet traveling ...ect.
or try something new like taking Persona formula (school sim) and making it more open ended.

But Krater looks colorful, full of bright lights and regrowth, doesn't look like fallout at all, you were just being prejudice and leaping to conclusions. The game looks and sounds very interesting and I don't see how being post apocalyptic automaticly means that it will look like fallout so I used a game you used as an example to show that being post apocalyptic doesn't define any one style at all. You would be well served to be more open minded ; )

Post Apoc could be pretty. Take Xenoblade for example.
