^That's good stuff. However, if all the innovations are of the same kind, I'll still stay on 7. I'm just fine with the quirks of windows, and I am, along with lots of others, fine with what I have.
40 secs, 10... no biggie.

Well as long as you are happy I guess lol.
Still you can't say that Win 8 won't have some pretty big improvements over 7, as long as they don't pull a Vista this could be the first time since 98 that they have delivered 2 great OSs in a row

Actually, you'd say the first since '95... Me sucked hard and died quickly (unless you count 98SE as a saparate OS) :P
I'm waiting on those big improvements, myself.

Figures!
I am fine with 7, I just recently upgraded to it from XP, also had Vista - although I didn't get what the fuss about it being so shit was about, I found it tolerable for day to day browsing and just general useage, however 7 definitely has it beat. 7 > xp for me this time around, mainly because of the features, but I still like xp very much.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

the only thing I miss from XP is 16bit support myself, dosbox helps with most games, but there are a few old apps and games that used 16bit installers which are a real pain now lol.
Other than that 7 is better in every way

the thing i am looking most forward too is that win 8 is multi platform. You will get the same/similar experience across a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or pc. I can't wait. The more i read on it the better it looks too!
I'm still on my awesome super-powerful 7.... although 8 does look awesome. But there isn't anything that my PC isn't ridiculously overqualified to do, so I can wait. At least this will help get more people off of Vista when they will have two newer options. Same with XP, even if it didn't suck like Vista, its still outdated.
BOOM! FACE KICK!

True, forgot about that. I have a windows 7 phone and xbox, so that would seem cool... but then again, my phone is already synched with my xbox and my xbox with my computer thru my network... so I don't think I'll really need it.
