I really wonder why Final fantasy spinoffs do so horribly compared to mainline games. Type-0 had production values of mainline game, it was released on very popular system and still it sold only half million first week? Weird. I fear for Versus.

These are the usual range of sales for FF handheld games

for example

CC FW JP 489,085

Dissidia 503,401

Duodecim 282,992

They just need to localize this game for the PSV! and do it SOON! that way it can start building a nice audience for the future titles on the handheld and get some nice LT sales

3DS more than double the hardware sales of the nearest competitor...
3DS has no games in the top 20, DS only one at the 20th spot...

...i continue to be baffled.

It's amazing how 3DS sells the most by far but there isn't a single title for it in the whole top 20.

Anyway, good numbers. Now's the slowest time of the year in Japan.

It seems like FF is a rare case where Japanese people still prefer to play it on home consoles.

I'm puzzled by the 3DS sales. It's selling twice the PSP numbers with no games in the top 20. What do people do with their new 3DS? Do they only buy used games?
