Forums - Gaming - Who of the Big 3 has the biggest balls?

Pick!

Microsoft 11 15.28%

Sony 29 40.28%

Nintendo 32 44.44%

Total:72

So, which of the Big 3 (that's Sony, Microsoft, & Nintendo) has proven to the boldest of the bold? The bravest of the brave? The dumbest of the dumb? Heres a few actions from each of the Big 3 that I find quite couragous (or dumb).

Nintendo:
- Released last-gen tech, added motion controls, ignored online, and planned to attract gamers with... Wii Sports! Whaa?

Microsoft:
- Joined a Japan dominated industry and planned to prove itself with never-before seen pay-to-play online, 3rd parties, and cheap, faulty technology. I mean seriously, disk trays are so last gen.

Sony:
- Released a $600 console with no decent games within launch. Courage, or incompetence?

*All of the above are obvious exaggerations.

Man maybe microsoft as their actions seemed the most ballsy

I vote Sony. Releasing a $600 console with no games is one thing. Telling gamers to get a second job to buy THEIR product... that's... that's just unreal...Its like they're only in the industry for teh lulz

Microsoft, because they jumped into the gaming industry out of no where!

Microsoft isn't ballsy, because they have enough money to cover up their stupid decisions. So it's really a toss up between Nintendo and Sony.

Sega was the ballsiest. With these 3, its like 3 accountants playing poker...everything is too calculated.

Sony...to think they thought they could push a system for $600 and sell like the PS1/PS2!? they had big balls as well as a big ego

That wasn't "big balls". That was over-cockiness and underestimation of the competition.

Nintendo.

Its very simple as to why. Sony and MS could live with their gaming divisions going under. Nintendo knows that every step they take could be their last, and with how much they bank on creativity, it surely could be. Look at the investors/analysts/media freaking out over the 3DS and the Wii U.

It takes balls to innovate as much as they do while walking a fine line.
