Killzone 2 doesn't look that promising.

That's about it for me, I've never liked the Metroid series, or the Medal of Honor Series.

1) Goldeneye, this game was the first truly great FPS on a console, it changed FPS games.
2) Halo1, changed the way all modern day FPS games are played and made on the consoles.
3) RFoM, 40 player online, great story, plus the best modern day online on a console.
4) CoD4 once all the patches are out, the game is too buggy right now.

 Meh, I lump Third Person Shooters and FPS in the same catagory because they are the same to me.

To those people including Goldeneye in their lists, are you doing so because of nostalgic reasons or because you honestly believe that the game still holds up to this day.

I enjoyed the game back when it was released a great deal, but I find it's spiritual successor (Timesplitters 2) to be an overall better game.

I'm not much of a FPS fan, but the above-mentioned games, Medal of Honor Frontline, The Chronicles of Riddick and Half-Life 1 and 2 have left quite an impression on me. I enjoyed Metroid Prime on the GC to a certain extent, it's sequels not so much. The Halo series is one I could never relate to, let alone it's hype. Resistance was fun, but the narrative failed to be coherent.

My favorite? Half-Life 2 - mainly because it incorperates various genres through a first-person perspective, rather than it being a traditional FPS. The level design is simply ingenious...

1. Goldeneye (great maps, great controls due to the N64 joypad wich is one of the best to play FPS: the Z-trigger, L-R buttons, C-buttons and first analog stick)

2. COD4 (So what if it's buggy, so was goldeneye, goldeneye had more glitches than Bond had girls)

3. Metroid Prime 1 (Amazing level design and great controlls, a multiplayer option would have made this my best ever)

4. Perfect Dark (great selection of original weapons)

5. Halo 2 (a game worthy of its hype)
