To those people including Goldeneye in their lists, are you doing so because of nostalgic reasons or because you honestly believe that the game still holds up to this day.
I enjoyed the game back when it was released a great deal, but I find it's spiritual successor (Timesplitters 2) to be an overall better game.
I'm not much of a FPS fan, but the above-mentioned games, Medal of Honor Frontline, The Chronicles of Riddick and Half-Life 1 and 2 have left quite an impression on me. I enjoyed Metroid Prime on the GC to a certain extent, it's sequels not so much. The Halo series is one I could never relate to, let alone it's hype. Resistance was fun, but the narrative failed to be coherent.
My favorite? Half-Life 2 - mainly because it incorperates various genres through a first-person perspective, rather than it being a traditional FPS. The level design is simply ingenious...
