Sony's 2nd quarter shipment numbers for PS3 are going to be pretty good. Probably better than last year (those were some epic meltdowns).

I do love that Nintendo provides these even if they aren't kicking everyone's ass like they were earlier in the generation. One statment they make that makes me wonder is that the first three weeks of October 2011 they've sold more Wiis than the same time in 2010. Does that match our numbers at all? Doesn't sound likely.

edit: Hell, looking at their charts I'm not even sure that matches their numbers.

Is it me or do these graphs show that both PS3 and 360 are up YoY in US and Europe combined???

It would be cool to see a YoY graph of Japan, even tho I am pretty sure PS3 is down like 36k from last year.

Gaming sales should be more transparent, it´s like no one knows the numbers (leaving space for PR BS), and the big 3 only want to talk about how many have they shipped, and in the end, no one really knows how much are already sold to the consumer, and where were they sold.

These graphics sure help a lot

I believe the 'first 3 weeks of October' comment is referring to NPD (IIRC NPD gives weekly numbers to its subscribers). We have it down YOY around 30% for the first 3 weeks in Americas.
