I highly doubt mafia took out MG to lay low after losing their fellow scum ST. They are at a point where they have to kill effective town roles. It's clear they, for some reason, decided that MG had an important role. If I were in their shoes right now, I wouldn't care about getting caught by an investigative role (like some of you suggest ... and are on my watch meter btw) I would worry about nailing cop and doc. In a way, their choice in killing MG is not all that surprising to me. And I want to keep a close eye on those who suggested theories of why MG was targeted.

Well, I don't know why hatmoza suddenly feels like Hephaestos is his best friend but I surely don't trust him (Heph that is). From the flips we've had so far and hatmoza's nameclaim, my Day One hunch that characters do fit with alignment seems to be right.

Yesterday, when I mentionned this [post], Heph was quick to point out that Baalz said the names may or may not coincide with alignment [post].

Right now, I'd be willing to bet that the remaining Mafia members are named Lock, Barrel and Oogie Boogie (or at least two out of those three if there was only 3 scum) and that Heph has one of these names which prompted him to remind me of the OP.

And I'm not talking about today. You did nothing to suggest the vig shouldn't have shot Heph last night. Clearly most players shouldn't have vigged last night, and certainly would have no reason to listen to you, but it's still the last thing you suggested. I am skeptic of you, because it seems like you have more than just a read on Heph, and he would have been a horrible choice given that suggestion.

well it's more a reason to fos than vote... but i can't refute the reasoning as i have a town name too. However, pointing this out and voting before a name claim is made just waisted an argument for down the road. No one is gonna claim Locke, Barrel or Oogie now.
