Just another reminder. The game will NOT end at 6 PM tonight. The timer has been extended until 6 PM sunday night due to no internet access this weekend.

meh baalz. I'm already bored of this day. No need for extensions. But that's just me. We need new topics, and only a passing of a night can bring something exciting.
If it wasn't for the fact a pro-town player was mod killed, I would have voted on a no-lynch right about now.

That's what I figured you meant by it, but I wanted to be sure. Your "thoughts" and vote simply don't add up. You talk about his absense, yet I feel like others weren't very present during the time either.(probably myself included) I would have to do postals to check that, and I don't like them much anymore nor do I have the time. Whether true or not, it was a very weak reason. As for the introduction, you never explained pre or post-modkill what made it so scummy. Heph is the only one I remember that addressed it and said he wouldn't expect it from mafia, but possibly third-party. So another strike for that. Then you say "I hope for you that you're scum", which makes no sense at all. Next you show no hesitance at lynching MJD if you actually thought he was Vengeful Mafia. There's no sense of 'wait, this is exactly what MJD wants', thus I'm left thinking it was an artificial thought. Also, with all the concern you present at possibly losing a townie, you show none for the possibility of giving mafia two choices of who they pick off.(Vengeful + Night Kill) Finally, you were convinced that he's scum yet still straddled with uncertainty when you said he should ask for replacement. And later you reaffirm that you were certain he was scum. The problem is you state you didn't want to lynch him, but pressure him. Caught scum knows they're dead to rights and so they don't give away anything but WIFOM,(link for anyone unfamiliar) so voting with insistence that he's certain scum is exactly what you shouldn't have done. I was going to vote you last night, but I didn't get to finish my reread before sleep beckoned. Nothing since then has made me believe anyone else is more likely scum then you though. So without further ado Vote: Silver-Tiger |
The only thing I disagree with would be your point about other players also being absent.
Putting pressure on a player is like trying to bend a stick. Seeing if it holds if it bends if it cracks. The more votes the town has on one player over others the more we try and bend it. If we as a town spread out votes it's like trying to bend a whole bundle where we won't find who bends and who breaks. Each stick should be tested in time. Not all or many at once.
However that only takes out a small part of a pretty good case otherwise. I won't be changing my vote just yet since I still want to reread everything and post more comments. I will most likely be voting ST when I am done though.
Wonk, I don't disagree that it takes many to pressure someone, but I am not questioning an intent to pressure. I am questioning the not wanting to lynch him. One can pressure by way of vote without actually intending for the recipient to be lynched, but the threat has to be there. ST certainly played up the threat, but his post-modkill talk doesn't match up. He claims he was still certain of his scuminess, yet didn't want to lynch him. If he wanted to pressure as well as an intent to lynch at the time, I'd understand.

So it's as I thought. You didn't really lose much sleep.
Trucks do you have anything to say about ST?
Maybe you've said something, but I've been at work all day and am losing attentiveness.
I'd kind of like a recap of the day so far by you (not a summary, just overall view. The day would have ended at 6, so I'd like some opinion on ST who you may or not vote, what you're thinking etc.
Nothing huge, but I'd like to drum up a little discussion, and you and Linkz are the only ones on.

Well my vote has been on Silver-Tiger since MDJ's modkill. Like I said before, I'm in agreement with Linkz's case on him, my reasons to vote for him were slightly different but still connected i.e. the timing of his vote on MDJ [post], his stance about being sure MDJ was scum [post] [post].
Since then there hasn't been anything to make me want to unvote him.
Signature goes here!
TOS already has a vote on ST and began voicing suspicion of him even before the modkill. I could understand forgetting the vote, but Baal posted votals not all that long ago.(timewise sure, but postwise no)
I'm gone just for a single day and a shitstorm comes up. I have to read through approx. 90 new posts so please give me some time to read.
