Obviously I was mistaken, but look at ST's language:
"You're a vengeful mafia member, right? Come on, admit it."

It's not capitalized, and it's got "a" in front of it.  At the time I took this to mean he didn't mean it as a title or proper noun, but upon reflection I understand that that doesn't necessarily follow.  However, the kicker was "member".  This really drove home in my mind that he wasn't saying "vengeful mafia" the role, but "a vengeful member of the mafia" because he just revenge voted.

ST's corrected me, but your question still had to be answered since it was about my own thinking on the matter.

That's quite a good explanation actually. When you put it like that it's actually odd that ST really did mean his role rather than demeanor.

I don't really get what you're trying to say. Please explain. I meant the role, as I was looking for an explanation on why MDJ acted the way he did.

Please clarify what you meant by "vengeful"

Vengeful as in:

"Vengeful player is a one that, when lynched, is awarded the ability to kill any other player as they die." from mafiascum.net.

The role came to my mind because I had the same role last round.

That's what I figured you meant by it, but I wanted to be sure.

Your "thoughts" and vote simply don't add up. You talk about his absense, yet I feel like others weren't very present during the time either.(probably myself included) I would have to do postals to check that, and I don't like them much anymore nor do I have the time. Whether true or not, it was a very weak reason. As for the introduction, you never explained pre or post-modkill what made it so scummy. Heph is the only one I remember that addressed it and said he wouldn't expect it from mafia, but possibly third-party. So another strike for that. Then you say "I hope for you that you're scum", which makes no sense at all.

Next you show no hesitance at lynching MJD if you actually thought he was Vengeful Mafia. There's no sense of 'wait, this is exactly what MJD wants', thus I'm left thinking it was an artificial thought. Also, with all the concern you present at possibly losing a townie, you show none for the possibility of giving mafia two choices of who they pick off.(Vengeful + Night Kill)

Finally, you were convinced that he's scum yet still straddled with uncertainty when you said he should ask for replacement. And later you reaffirm that you  were certain he was scum. The problem is you state you didn't want to lynch him, but pressure him. Caught scum knows they're dead to rights and so they don't give away anything but WIFOM,(link for anyone unfamiliar) so voting with insistence that he's certain scum is exactly what you shouldn't have done.

I was going to vote you last night, but I didn't get to finish my reread before sleep beckoned. Nothing since then has made me believe anyone else is more likely scum then you though. So without further ado

Vote: Silver-Tiger

meh, there's a few that aught to be voted on for disappearing... then again i haven't been much present in the past 48 hours either (work after a long weekend :x).
I'd be tempted to let prof loose on the new players, but not sure I'd vote them day one, so he'd be pissed in the end.

@I'm a bit confused from your whole discution on the subject, and considering last round had talking mafia, I don't see it as a bad assumption.... especially with a 7 day time limit for day one (that's a lot of slipping for scum to do without coordinating). Then again, if it had been 5 rounds ago, i wouldn't be as quick to accept the assumption as valid.

the @ should be @ prof

I wish I hadn't asked for opinions.

I'll thank you for your opinion and leave it at that. I don't want to disrupt anything that's going on right now, because I'd love to see ST burn for that vengeful mafia comment.

Heph please give your thoughts on the current candidate...unless I'm too assume your "meh" was directed at that.

fair enough.

also, linkz's accusations of ST are sound, it's a combination of little irky points, but they are definitely there. I'm not as irked by the "vengeful" as by the comments such as "I don't think anyone can hold it against me that I thought MDJ was scum, his behavior was ridiculous.", after all, as linkz pointed out, I did say earlier that mafia scum was not the most fitting explanation for the "pressure" Marcus felt and a suicidal behavior as he had later on does not portray a player that is part of a team (how ever bad or fed up a player is, one would think they still keep a consideration of their teammates if they have some...).

It'd be a real shame if you spent so much time thinking only to come up with such a conclusion that is a logical fallacy. MJD flipped Vanilla Townie, so if a role exchange occured then my scum/mason mate is someone else and still alive, and if no exchange occured then there still could be no loss. Unless you think some extreme bastard modding went down and Baal merely covered up the role. In which case, if you think I'm scum you can see my post directed at prof about slipping. Furthermore, it would be utter stupidity to moan about losing a scummate that appears as a townie when revealed. I could see why you'd think I might be upset if I were a mason in that case though, as I would have just lost someone who could confirm me.

No worries for presenting the mason idea. In the hypothetical situation that I was, I could not only eat mafia's kill,(just in case this seems like a hint, I am not Bulletproof) but also my reveal would confirm at least one other player after they claim.(Or give a one for one if there's a counter)

Somehow I get the feeling you really are a mason^^

@ prof - to avoid misunderstanding - with current candidate you mean st?

oh, I was actually typing... the "fair enough" was for your "i'll thank you but leave it at that"

the "also" was in support of seeing the ST situation unfold.

Argh.... damnit... I think I mixed some of Linkz posts with Profs posts T.T - i somehow thought prof was voting for ST...

@prof: Since you seem to have changed your mind about opinions on the Mafia-talk subject, I'll be quick: I don't think it's of great importance right now.

It seems not much else was discussed in my time away. Apart from the fact that Linkz made a very good case against Silver-Tiger. Not that I needed convincing of his scuminess but he did a good analysis of his actions.
