In the first week of sales of the latest game of the Batman series, Batman: Arkham City has sold 2 million copies out of the 4.2 million of the total copies that had been shipped.
The LA Times are stating that these figures do not compare Batman: Arkham City to record holders like Call of Duty however this latest Batman game is on track to outsell the previous one ‘ Arkham Asylum ‘ which sold 4.3 million copies in total where as Arkham City has already shipped out 4.6 million copies. Rocksteady game director Sefton Hill, says ” The true test for any game is what the players think and we have been thrilled by their reaction to Batman: Arkham City, The team at Rocksteady put every ounce of effort into making the best Batman experience we possibly could, so we are overwhelmed by the incredible feedback from the community.” These are only the sales figures for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version, as the PC version of Batman: Arkham City comes out in November.
