I can see why (personal opinion). I dislike anything that says something is good without actually explaining or making (however small) a remark why it is good. And what on earth was he doing smoking at the end of it??? Everytime I see anything to do with the Republican party, it reminds me how different the US polictical is from the UK's.

Seems generic and vague to me.

Maybe i'm just used to vague political promises though.

Only strange part was the smoking really, which probably was done to try and get a rise out of the anti-smoking people to raise awareness of the video.

to be fair... as graphic designer I have influenced some ads just because I didn't like the party... making a logo just a bit smaller, some quotes smaller, putting them halfway in a list.. I'm betting the editor has a blast that they approved this version.
