1) It SURE AS HELL will be A LOT more powerful than 2 x 360. 2) Definitely NOT Nextbox. 3) DUH |
Your Opinion vs mine.. dont be so rude, thanks :)
also like to point out i never said it would be called NeXtBOX. i said i liked the name... so i am right.. 'DUH'
(forget what i said in the PS4 thread about the bet BTW, i wont have connections to rude posters, makes me look bad when im only here for fun)
thanks for making this thread cause i was going to put predictions for nextbox in my sig.
no it won't be 720, and MS will keep the Xbox brand alive cause its recognizable. i think MS will try to buy up 1st party exclusives and focus on first party but not many of the ip they own. i'm sure they'd much rather sell the 90% of the ip they own.
we'll see allot of Halo, and not as much Fable, and Forza within the launch window. Kinect, will be intergraded into the next box with maybe a few peripherals, and upgraded to be able to do more. i don't think Halo will sell like it has this gen.
launch price of nextbox will likely be $499 again and be more powerful then Wiiu and about on par with PS4.
a 2014 launch will be the most logical if MS isn't worried about Ninty, but if they are we'll see the nextbox release in 2013.
MS will fight hard to get more 1st party ip, but not buy many studios if any at all. i'm looking at a very tight race for first place next gen but i think MS will have more fun fighting Ninty for second.
i think the American advantage is MS and Ninty but Sony will have a stronger presence then this gen so the battle for the americas will be one to remember.
MS definitely has the most to gain next gen, and could win it mainly because of the hurt PS brand and the casual's leaving Ninty and preferring there Wii's so they won't upgrade.

twice as poweful as 360 isn't very powerful, it wouldn't give a big graphics boost.

Power: Will mop the floor with Wii U graphically speaking and surpass in its lifecycle anything that exists right now on PC easily. Games at Launch Kinect 2.0 Casual Fest. New IP with Guns. Forza 5. A bit later Halo 5 Gears 4. New cloud based Live services for some to make 720 games playable on a 360. |
yea i never think about the top list but the bottom 2 are on. it seems many PC devs want 8g i think your right with the 6g RAM. still not sure about the bluray, but it makes sense.

I think Xbox 1080 would be better since 720 gives a false impression with regards to the output resolution.
People are dumb enough to believe that the 3DS is the DS with 3D (go figure).
I would think people would easily come up with things like:
''Naaah, I'm not getting the 720 - PS4 is waaay better since it's locked at 1080p. Keep your low-res console thanks.''
Or something like that.
I actually like neither of those. Glad I don't have to come up with a name!
10 times as powerful as the original 360 ATLEAST. Look at the Hardware we have a CPU AND GPU combined with UNDER 500 Million Transistors: 6 XBOX CPUs and 6 XBOX GPUs have combined LESS Transistors then ONE GTX 580 and the new GPUs have WAY more than that.
10 fold increase is MINIMUM to make the difference in graphics obvious enough for the average customer so he would be compelled to buy one. I think more like 12-15 times the GFLOPs of the 360 which had about 350 Gflop
so we are talking 4-5 Tflops real power.

What xbox have you bought that cost $500? launch price of 360 was $400 unless you talking about the 360 elite which came out later than the actual 360. Oh one SKU is also something they should try i don't get the point of having a 4gb console i guess to sale the hard drives for the people that bought the lower end console.

?????
anyway it dosen't matter how accurate i am about the past. this is a future dicusion. its been6 yr's. you can't possibly expect me to remember everything? i'm 27 going on 60?
yea i'm with you on the one SKU, but i think MS will want to use the larger hard drive as a reason to have more then one.
ask Cliffy B, Crytek, the Witcher dev's, and likely other PC dev's why they should have not a 4g RAM. but an 8g RAM at the least. MB i way over done. its time to move on. the end of mb starts next gen for home consoles.
