The improved visuals, the added cars on track, the wealth of new race types, the tweaked AI and closer racing, the ferocious sound and superior sense of speed, the even better livery editor, the lot. With Forza 4 Turn 10 has crafted a driving game like no other; it's hands-down this generation's premier racing simulator http://ie.xbox360.ign.com/articles/119/1198556p1.html

IGN said GT5 is a 10/10 Simulator :)

IGN said the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 is the best looking console game to date.

Eh...no they didn't

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/115/1156446p2.html

Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game.

To date suggest "to this day". Crysis 2 came out in March and this isn't "IGN", it's just one guy on IGN. I'm sure that if you'd ask other people on IGN the majority would not pick Crysis 2...

Anyway, this is off topic

so why you reply him about Crysis 2?

didn't?even it's past,IGN still said it,and it's not a "one guy on IGN",it's a editor's review,and you know,GT5's "10/10 Simulator" thing also from the review,or you think GT5 is not 10/10 Simulator because it's just one guy on IGN?

I don't base my opinion on what some guy I don't know says. GT5 is a 10/10 simulator to me, even if that guy had said it was only a 5/10 simulator. Crysis 2 is not the best looking console game to me, even though that one guy said it.

so he's talking about IGN and you talking about youself and use "one guy xxxxx" to reply me?ok

you know,at first you just said "they didn't",how can i know what you thinking?

He was proving wrong so he tried to redeem himself. NP. Also the reason why i brought up crysis is because, i just wanted to show people will only use sites like IGN when they say things that will back up their claims but will insult them when they don't. IGN gets a lot of crap for apparently being a "xbox fanboy" site, but ps3 fans will still use them to back up points their trying to make like the 10/10 simulator thing but stuff like crysis 2 being the best looking console game they will say things like this guy said "only one guy" "ign don't matter" ect.

Anyways this IS  off topic.

OT:

Forza looks better in this video no question asked.

IGN said the Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2 is the best looking console game to date.

That has nothing to do with this thread.

I know its not, but i just wanted to show that if you are going to use source to back up your claims you should stick with them even if they say things you dont want to hear. And i doubt Aldro will agree Crysis 2 is the best looking console game.

Ah that makes sense.

The sound in Forza is overdone, when you are inside the cockpit it should not sound like if you had a third person point of view, which in fact puts GT5 already ahead by simulating the sound INSIDE the cockpit, and lighting is overdone in Forza, as it is many games to make it "look" better while hiding glitches/pixels, etc...it does look cartooish, and the environment by far is better on GT5. Bottom line, when it comes to simulating REALISM GT5 takes the trophy for sure.

Only a handful of standard cars got to see an upgrade like that, most still look like in picture 1. So 200 premium cars + 50 cars standard cars which are still sub Forza 2 quality, + 750 cars (with many repeats) which are HD PS2 car models.

Those models of Forza you linked, are those Forza 3 or 4? I know Forza 4 has 1 autovista model, one model for the store (GT5 also has this too), one model for in car racing, and 1 for replay. However, except for the autovista model GT5 has the same.

You are making it seem that in one race you will have 1 model car, but in 12 player, you will have another separate model, which is untrue. The polygon count in any racing model is always the same.

As for the "bad" video. excuses, excuses. I see a reflection, but on a sunny day, glass reflects light. There is light in the shadow, it's just relfected off buildings, and not as intense, and that's what Forza 4 is showing.

What I see is a beautiful reflection of the stands on one side of the car as you drive by it, and even when the car spins, the reflected light still shows the sun and reflections in appriopriate places. I can tell indifidual objects within the reflection, with pretty damn good detail, and I can see the best lighting engine I have ever seen in a game.

That "bad" video still looks worlds beyond any GT5 video you will find online (using the same shitty cars).

After looking through this thread I can tell that you are a comletely biased fanboy and nothing can change that fact. You are no better than me, attacking other users views and constantly spewing your opinions as facts. You feel the need to reply to every Gt5 fans post, and most of what you write is simply not true. You might even be a turn 10 employee yourself, and you " must have an affinity towards turn 10 and microsoft"*. I can confidently say that you haven't spent one our with Gt5, let alone, "150". * See I can do this too.

You entered this thread just to insult me? You couldn't stop critising me in the other thread so you entered this one?

I'm the biased fanboy, yet both Booh and I are presenting valid points for each game? Opinion as facts, what the heck are you talking about?

This coming from someone who has played 25 hours of Forza 3 and GT5 combined, and never played Forza 4.

Seriously, you have an account with 31 posts. Chances are you were banned before and this is an alternate ID account. If so, stop acting this way. It ruins the forums. I can debate with countless of people in a civil manner, despite having different opinions, but you seem to have an account just to attack me. Stop it.

and with 500 premium cars, who would choose the limited car list in GT5 over Forza 4?

Hahaha. 500 premium cars, remove the ones that are the same (just a different paint job)

i.e.

2011 #02 Audi A4 Touring Car
2011 #03 Audi A4 Touring Car
2011 #04 Audi A4 Touring Car
2011 #05 Audi A4 Touring Car
2011 #06 Audi A4 Touring Car

And you are left with 400.

I'd easily trade 200 cars (I won't even use 100, let alone 200 or 400. Especially now with this new affinity system, I'm trying to get Mazda to level 50, so I won't use another brand for a long time) for a F1 and go-karts.

OH WOW!!!!

And GT5 doesn't have repeats? 150 Nissans, 13 Honda S200's (only 4 different models) and what 40 NASCAR cars which are basically Identical?

I never said it didn't. Anyway, I thought you were talking about premium cars only since you said "limited car list". Sorry, my mistake.

My bad for the facepalm picture then. All is well.

Forza 4 does have repeats, not sure how many, but maybe 50? Still 400, or 450 premium cars beats 200. Even if both games are equally as good, I think the number of high resolution cars in Forza 4 is amazing.

Wouldnt using low poly environments and low alpha effects also be considered cheating?

Exactly. Booh! We will never agree with each other. I will admit GT5 looks amazing, and the premium cars really showcase what the PS3 can do. Will you just admit Forza 4 looks amazing too?

It doesn't matter if you agree with me anymore, this is just plain stupid.

One thing I will say, and this can be desputed, is that when I first played Forza 4, I was in shock. I did not believe 360 was capable of graphics to this level, and I honestly feel Forza 4 is noticably better looking then GT5 because I'm still in shock that Forza 4 can be modelled on current gen systems.

I said before and I and say it again...

The standard cars on GT5 is on pair with the cars in Forza 4... the premium cars is in another level.

This is just trolling. I showed you Forza Motorsport 2 cars which looked better then the standard cars in GT5, and someone else showed the Punto in Forza 4. Play Forza 4 before you make comments like ethomaz, or I won't be able to take you seriously anymore.

Booh! - those standard cars look sub Forza 2 quality still. Except the the NSX's. The RSX looks like it came straight out of PGR3, and the background in that image is blocky as hell. If you told me that picture was PGR3 I would believe you.

Standard cars are a huge drop from Forza 4 race model cars AND GT5 premium race model cars.

Shitty cars was a reference to the car, not the modeling in GT5. A Honda Fit is a shitty car in any game, where a Ferrari 458 Italia is amazing. You took the context incorrectly, or I poorly explained myself.

As for the shadow, take a screen from when the Punto is right next to the wall. It reflects surfaces off the wall as you pass them accuratly, even little details like buildings can be seen. I would hardly call this lame.

Sun disk while in the shadow of the building...the car isn't in the shadow. The base of the car is, but the upper part is not. If this is an actual issue, and you just have a bad screen, I'm sure it will be patched. Forza 3 on release did not have hand movements in car to change gears, and it was patched in 2 weeks. I'm sure things like this will be fixed too.

Gotta love real world examples to shut up the people who haven't even played Forza 4 or pushed a car in real life.
