What exactly did she do wrong? Nothing, but hey we're oppressed citizens with no real power, freedom? Ha!

You had a bank on edge and they got out of control.  Basic bit of wisdom is to think about when you do something.  I think the 99% protesters would also need to think about when to withdraw, maybe not at once.  Go, get the money out at various times.  After the money is out and closed, say you are part of the 99% and leave.

Eh? You're saying people can't do whatever the hell they want with their money whenever they want to?

It doesn't matter, they have a righ to close they're bank accounts even if it was simultaneously.

Ok, file this under don't attempt to close your checking account at any bank where there is a protest going on.  This video is now up on YouTube.  Apparently 99%ers attempted to close their checking accounts in protest, and got arrested.  A woman goes in to, what looks like the same, to close here checking account, and half a dozen police haul her away and arrest her.  The short of it?  Don't attempt to close a checking account during a day of protest...

Here is the video:

Actually, according to the news she did get her account closed.  She was however, arrested for refusing to leave afterwords.

"Five people wearing masks were arrested earlier in the day, and two dozen were arrested on charges of criminal trespass when demonstrators entered a Citibank bank branch near Washington Square Park and refused to leave, police said. One protester was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.

Citibank said in a statement that police asked the branch to close until the protesters could be taken away. "One person asked to close an account and was accommodated," Citibank said."

the woman in the video was walking away.  idk if she had been part of a demonstration earlier, as the other person is alleging...but she was outside and attempted to leave.   some plain clothes officer literally picks her up and drags her back over to some group where about a dozen jump on her clearly acting very rough and aggressive towards her.

police do not have the authority to do whatever they want, and there is a moral and legal authority to intervene on behalf of someone being attacked.

quite often with these threads it is abundantly clear that its all bullshit to slander the police.  the police dont need help, they are perfectly capable of being complete fuck ups without help.

Yea, figured it was something like that.  She was probably in there beforehand, refusing to leave, but sensed she was going to get in trouble and was able to slip out right before the cops started arresting everyone.  Either she refused to leave the sidewalk or an employee pointed her out as one of the troublemakers. Of course, the main problem is when she started walking away while the cop was trying to talk to her, definitely identifying her as one of the guilty ones.  And another staple of these films, besides starting just before they are being arrested, is seen by her screaming like she's being murdered while getting arrested.

I'm sick of those 99% hysterics especially of their barking, so annoying. Such a sad case of the US citizenship being wasted, the police should have deported these dogs, all of them.

Hey, maybe you can get them jobs... or is that too tough for you, given how Obama has ruined the economy, right?  So, do you believe Tea Party protesters should also be deported are they patriots?

You can agree with this:

Apparently Bank of America doesn't think so:

Except you know... they weren't.

If you actually read the articles posted you'd note that she was the only one who wanted to close her bank account and likely was the only person there even with a bank account as they were crowded on private land in an area where security is a high priority.
