Ok, file this under don't attempt to close your checking account at any bank where there is a protest going on.  This video is now up on YouTube.  Apparently 99%ers attempted to close their checking accounts in protest, and got arrested.  A woman goes in to, what looks like the same, to close here checking account, and half a dozen police haul her away and arrest her.  The short of it?  Don't attempt to close a checking account during a day of protest...

Here is the video:

Actually, according to the news she did get her account closed.  She was however, arrested for refusing to leave afterwords.

"Five people wearing masks were arrested earlier in the day, and two dozen were arrested on charges of criminal trespass when demonstrators entered a Citibank bank branch near Washington Square Park and refused to leave, police said. One protester was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.

Citibank said in a statement that police asked the branch to close until the protesters could be taken away. "One person asked to close an account and was accommodated," Citibank said."

Yea, figured it was something like that.  She was probably in there beforehand, refusing to leave, but sensed she was going to get in trouble and was able to slip out right before the cops started arresting everyone.  Either she refused to leave the sidewalk or an employee pointed her out as one of the troublemakers. Of course, the main problem is when she started walking away while the cop was trying to talk to her, definitely identifying her as one of the guilty ones.  And another staple of these films, besides starting just before they are being arrested, is seen by her screaming like she's being murdered while getting arrested.
