But a lot of kids that age aren't wearing it because of the cause, and just wearing it because of "I love boobies" being written on it. Also, the teachers said that it was being distracting, so I guess students weren't paying attention in classes because of them. They also stated other problems, so maybe there was a reason for the ban. It's not like they couldn't wear them, since they could turn them inside out and wear them like that.

If students don't pay attention to class because of the bracelets then handle it as you'd handle students using cellphones or other distracting items. Or is the school banning everything that has a chance of distracting? And what about those that don't cause trouble?
And if they had to turn them inside out they would probably not wear them at all.

Well, if the bracelet is the one in the OP, then you can still see something that promotes the awareness.
Any time something bad happens in a school that involves something fun, it's probably going to be severely cut down. When I was in high school, we used to play cards (Spades) for fun during study hall. Of course, some kids decided to gamble and they got caught, so the school decided to ban playing cards from the school. Why should have we been punished when we weren't doing anything bad, since we played just for fun. The same kind of principle applies here, I would think.
