Back in June of this year Revelations producer Masachika Kawata said "You can see the game is very focused on that horror atmosphere, so it's not made for co-op play," After he was questioned in an interview with Eurogamer. But today their was a leak from the official website confirms that the game will feature gameplay for "2 people" in "communication-play mode." as well as Street Pass functionality and compatibility with the slide pad.
Capcom hasn't confirmed which multiplayer capabilities will be in the game. However screens and vids appear to show other characters helping out Chris and Jill. Many in the gaming press think co-op could be a very real possibility. If it isn't co-op I wonder how multiplayer will be added to the game. It specifically says 2-players if it was a multiplayer death match you'd expect at least four which leads even more evidence to suggest the game is going to feature co-op.
What do you think is mutliplayer going to be a good addition to the title? Is RE built for co-op?
