Is it a good idea to offer free DLC for Resistance 3 even though it sold horribly?

The game's from a series that has sold 4m and 2m respectively= the game would have had a bigger budget that most games devolopers can only dream about, add to that the game is already hitting the bargin bins only a month after release which is sure sign that a game has under preformed.

It's flopped just live with.

That can be said about any game that comes out, and since you have no proof, that's nothing but speculation. Also, what exactly is the marker for "flop"/ "success" is there some sort of magic marker a game must hit before everyone calls it a success? Additionally; 1-2 months =/= life time numbers what happened to the days of waiting and seeing? Those 4million you mentioned didn't happened within 2months, they were spread out, not everyone does COD numbers, not everyone does Gears numbers, no idea why people don't bother with common sense and learn to adjust expectation accordingly.

I'd rather have free extras for the game than games constantly getting little extras you have to pay for.

I see this thread right after seeing that paintball mode in Goldeneye for the PS3/360 is pre-order exclusive. While it's on the disk, it will probably be a paid DLC for the rest of the community after launch.

Frankly, I'm not liking this DLC crap.
