Not that I care, but franchises rarely change consoles mid-generation. The problem with doing that is that you build up your fanbase on one console, after releasing FFXIII on PS3, many Final Fantasy fans would purchase PS3s. Then if you release the next one on Wii, all those FF fans that bought FFXIII on their PS3s suddenly don't have the hardware to play FFIX. You could lose sales because some of those people could be unwilling to buy another console.

So I don't think we'll ever see a mainline FF series game on the Wii. Not that I care, FF sucks along with almost every other JRPG

No, it wasn't. You meant to say something, but you said something else do to the way you phrased it. So it's not my fault that I didn't get what you intended to say because what you intended to say and what you did were two different things.

However i'd say the best Final Fantasy series went down hill at 7. The best Final Fantasy games were made on the SNES.

There is a line of thought that the series went downhill after XI.

Of course I wouldnt really know as I am not a big fan of the series.

 


Final Fantasy XI was utter trash. That game was more aimed to MMORPG fans than Final Fantasy fans.

Final Fantasy XII top a step backwards in story IMO. But other than that the new combat system was right on and so were the graphics.


 

I have to disagree Final Fantasy XI actually had it's roots pretty deep in Final Fantasy with it's job system and job abilities even down to Dancer and Scholar recently and I feel XII was a complete abomination. If I wasn't expecting Final Fantasy I may have liked it but I didn't want what they gave me..


I would have to disagree with your statment...

According to Gamerankings.com, Final Fantasy XII achieved an average 91% versus Final Fantasy XI 85%. Its small difference but according to VGChartz, Final Fantasy XII sold 5 million as opposed to the original Final Fantasy XI 150,000 copies.

If you were to include all the expansions then it might have come close to Final Fantasy XII sales-wise.


 

Final Fanatasy XI at one point had several million unique players... I don't think it sold 150,000 only. On the server I was one 4000+ people were perpetually on.. and rankings does not a good game make just means it was more mainstream. and I'd argue the only GOOD final fantasy's after 6 were 9 and 11

Rankings might not, but scores do apply to the hardcore audience.

 Hey i'm just saying you've got to phrase things better.  What you intended to say and what you did say wern't the same.  Maybe english is your second language and that's cool, but you can't say one thing than get mad when people correct you claiming latter you meant to say something else and treating that person like a jerk.

I here that Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is a good game according to Gamerankings.com

The sequel was not that good, but this series is starting to build up, espically sense Monolith Soft is the developer.
