Forums - Sports - The OG NHL thread: The Cup worth biting for

Who will win?

Chicago Blackhawks 12 80.00%

Tampa Bay Lightning 3 20.00%

Total:15

Damn, son Jon-Sebastian Giguere won the Cup and Playoff MVP with Anaheim. The year they won the cup. Unfortunately, he does not have the crazy, good performance longevity as Martin Brodure.

Hossa scores the game winner with 3:16 left in OT. I just came by to say that.

Now there are only two guys left to post in this thread since Loco and Max both asked for two week bans for whatever reason. The Hawks did it again. Ridiculous!

@ hollabackenny So do you think that the Wild will get in sync enough to make the playoffs and a run? They most certainly acquired the talent to do it.

Ah, I can ramble here, though I only watch my team's games. Is everyone a fan of teams doing well, here?

I'm a fucking Rangers fan, this year has been seriously awful... went from top of the east, to this:

Loco asked for a ban? weird. I'll try and talk to him over Live and find out what's up.

It's still too hard for me to tell. I certainly hope so, and they've been looking really good these past few games. They killed a 5min major against Calgary without even letting them get a shot on goal. I really like what I see in our rookies too, Zucker has 3 goals in 5 games, Coyle isn't afraid to use his size and Brodin seems to be doing well for a small guy. Backstrom has also been doing well lately in goal minus that terrible goal that snuck in last night after a bad bounce off the glass.

Standings are still super tight right now. Every team (for the most part) is just a few points apart. If the Wild can keep up their game and stay injury free then I can see them slipping in the 6th-8th place (probably going up against Chicago knowing my luck) but I guess we'll have to see.

I'm glad to see Chicago still haven't lost in regulation, let's just hope Columbus aren't the team to do it tonight.

I also like that there have been over 20 votes in this poll yet no one wants to jump into the discussion :(

Who is loco? The team the Hawks just played prepared for three days to take us down. Lol, we then went on to score on them in the first 12 seconds, shut them out, controlled the Puck most the game, game them only about a dozen shots on goal, and easily won.

Chocoloco.  Welcome back Spurge!

The team that they beat, St. Louis, is actually pretty good.  The Hawks are just playing out of this world.

I am still learning my Hockey. Even today at work I called the main goal tender Aarron Rogers..... I know Anaheim is good.

Hehe.  Who did you think that Aaron Rodgers played for?

....I thought he was our main Goalie.... isn't he a football player?

He's the quarterback for the Packers,

The Blackhawks goalies are Corey Crawford and Ray Emery.

Was just reading the sun times while eating my Noosa Passion fruit yogurt. The next two teams could be push oversea. Both Detroit and Colorado are not good this year. They just cannot get cocky and should be good to go!

Anyone know the record for sold out stadiums in hockey!

I don't think that Detroit will be a pushover at all. The games early, in Detroit, are the Hawks biggest rivals, and need this game badly.

I have no idea what the consecutive sell out record is.

Also, I could change the thread title, but that would be an abuse of power.
