Twice the amount of blood

...rushing to your crotch.

*I was talking about the Bikini Hockey League, of course*

Do they still play during period season?

I think that you took that comment completely the wrong way.  :p

haha. well, my first comment was in reference to it so I wasn't sure if you had caught on and went with it. I'm sorry for taking things too far. It just scares me.

Totally missed a good game. Will have to watch the highlights, but when I tuned in when I could it seemed as if LA was totally out-shooting the Coyotes. Really hoping a goaltender in Quick and a better scoring team can finally beat Phoenix. I mean if Radim Vrbata is your leading scorer that is pretty bad, I know it is his career year, but he sucked when he played for the avs. Much improved, but still sad.

@ Hollabackenny I got your bad insinuation about blood the first time. Bad thinking even the NBA and NFL cheerleaders do not suffer from that problem. I was thinking Amp's idea is a more probable outcome.

I was thinking about it and LA vs NY would be the best series for the NHL. It would get a lot of Americans watching since those are the two largest markets. If this happens, they should promote the crap out of it.

LA dominated the first two games so much it might be a grantee for LA. While NY was mostly outplayed by the devils until they took the lead and dominated the final period.

I agree as far as ratings go having the two biggest markets going at it East VS West coast sounds exciting.

The conference finals have been great, very physical. Fans are really not liking the Coyotes and calling them dirty after several boarding penalties and Smith slashing the LA Captain in the leg (name alludes me now). Either way Hanzal might be suspended for boarding. I like the action so I hope he is not and the bad blood continues.

Doan's hit last night was clean, the guy turned intentionally and put himself in that vulnerable position, but Hanzal is probably looking at 2-3 games for the hit on Brown, I think Brown also kind of made himself vulnerable but Hanzal had time to avoid it but hit him anyways.

Good point, LA/NY in the finals would be great.

The way Phoenix is playing, I don't think they have a chance. They look sluggish out there and are taking stupid penalties. Best chance they have is if LA gets overconfident and blows game 3.

I agree Doan's check on Lewis was okay in terms of it does not deserve a suspension, but the penalty was reasonable. Lewis actually looked like he was acting to me and staying on the ice trying to look injured to draw the penalty.

Hanzel's hit seemed more malicious and did possibly break Brown's  nose. though I do know this reminds me of hockey on the 90s so I would hardly complain just because the NHL is trying to play it safe. This was how the game has been historically played rough and tough and I like it.

Smith deserves a two game suspension for slashing.

Hahaha yeah it was a pretty healthy slash by Smith, wasn't it? But I do kinda agree with Brown getting 2 for diving on it, I mean yeah it was a big slash, but Brown went down in a heap like he just got shot in the back by a sniper.

And yeah Hanzal has been amazing these playoffs and he isn't the type of player to hit someone like he did on Brown, I'd like to know why the hell he did that.

Hanzal hit was brutal, kick him out the rest of the playoffs - 2 games. Doan hit was iffy, the guy turned, but Doan has to take some responsibility. Probably just a fine. On that note the NHL really needs to increase max fines - 2500 is a joke. Coach's can take a $10,000 fine for calling out officials, while players can do anything and all they take is a $2500 hit.

Rangers vs LA final, I am ready. LA in 6 if that happens. If NJ, LA in 5.

Agreed about the fines. I know they do it so the people making minimum money don't get a good chunk of their money taken but there's no reason they can't do it based on their salary.
