Haha yeah I got excited, but the stats are in favour of the team to win first...to the tune of 70%. But honestly Luongo is shaky as fuck, but Jonny Quick is showing why he deserves to be called an elite tendy along with the likes of Lundqvist and Rinne. And this great goaltending, in combination with guys like Kopitar and Richards stepping up to actually get goals, LA will be unbeatable.

Actually, you're wrong about that statistic (in this series).
Winning Game 1 on the road: These teams still have historically done well in the series, but their record isn't nearly impressive. They are, after all, still underdogs. Teams that have won Game 1 on the road have a 109-94 (.537) record in the series ... but when road teams do manage to win the first two games on the road, they have gone on to win the series more than 75 per cent of the time: 56-18 (.757). If the Kings win tonight, then the Canucks are in the hot seat for sure. The King's players are performing; scoring, playing defence, and killing penalties swiftly (that is seriously an aggressive penalty kill squad). Vancouver needs to step up their game, else be looking at a first round upset.
Surpringly, I felt that Luongo's game wasn't too far off from where it should be. The Richard's goal during the 5-on-3 powerplay was poor, but Luongo made a few timly saves and bailed out his sparactic defense. Quick is playing phemoninal, yet I feel that he will need to take his team deep into the playoffs(two first round exits in the past two years) to be considered an upper echelon goalie.
The surprisng fact about Los Angeles is that they can SCORE! They rank 29th overall, but for the last 3 months, they have scoring at quite the pace. I can see this series going their way, unfortunately. All depends on Vancouver's repsonse tonight.
