I'd say the West playoff race is just a 5-way battle to be first-round playoff fodder, but I think the way Vancouver is playing, they are just begging to be upset.

That is the case in most playoff races, but the team that manages to get the 6th spot will be facing a team of similar level that happens to win the Pacific division. The Pacific is just as ordinary as the teams below them so I would say your statement is only partly true.
Vancouver may be slowing, but I seriously doubt it for the long term as they really have been mostly good since the first third of the season were they were horrible.
St. Louis is probably the favorite, but everyone will sleep through their trap slow down no goals hockey.

GO PENZ!!!

I'm going to keep a close eye on Florida for the remainder of the season and into the playoffs if they hold on. They have completely taken me by surprise this year.

Were the Jets fans taunting or was this about respect for his skill and return to play?
Missed Hockey last as it was St. Patrick Roy's day and beer and Scotch day, the avs beat the Rangers. On that note, all NHL fans that own a PS3 should download NHL gamecenter on their PS3 as even if you do not pay for the service to watch live games, you can watch the hightlights in 1080p of all the games you miss. It is supposed to come to the 360 at some point if you have gold. Increadible service!

They were taunting Ovechkin.
Yea Gamecentre is a great download, highlights are some of the best too because they show everything not just the goals.
Pens winning streak over in Philly today, those two teams would make for a great playoff match.

Good to know some people know about gamecenter.
The matchup would be great as they have that long rivalry, as for now I am thinking the Penguins are going to win the East so it would not happen in the first round. Unless they collapse which does not seem likely. Also it would be cool if Jagr faces his old team, I never knew if he left the penguins on bad terms and so he decided to join Philly as payback?

I don't think there was any bad blood when he left, but there he definitely created some this past summer when he turned down the Penguins offer for more money/term in Philly (I believe getting more than a 1 year contract was his main concern he said). Adding to it with Kunitz today rubbing Hartnells face into the ice leading to no major penalty, then Hartnell scoring the overtime winner with under a second remaining, there is some good hating going on between these two.

Wow, soounds like I missed a good game. If it is as bad as you make it sound I think Shanaban will be after Hartnell with a good well deserved suspension.
