Forums - Sports - The OG NHL thread: The Cup worth biting for

Who will win?

Chicago Blackhawks 12 80.00%

Tampa Bay Lightning 3 20.00%

Total:15

Phoenix is struggling lately, but just 3-0'd the Sharks, and are holding on to 7th in the West. Not too bad.

Let's go Coyotes!!

Living in Vancouver I can't wait for the 'Nucks to take it all. It's gonna be a riot.....no pun intended. We just need the Sisters to pick it up a little more and we got it.
Hey A.J im glad you enjoyed last nights game because as a Habs fan that's all you will be enjoying this year

Yea I've heard this same trash talk year after year, but I sleep like a baby at night knowing the playoff collapse is coming. You better believe I'll be enjoying that.

Want to know why Canuck fans are the most hated in the NHL? They have the cockiness of champions fueled by a franchise with none.

Well actually Vancouver has won the Cup before....1915. But it's all good, I'm fine with supporting a team that has the chance of winning the Cup every year, let alone make the playoffs every year.

I honestly do not think we have "cockiness of champions" rather cockiness of winners, something that Montreal hasn't and wont feel for years.

I find it hard to believe that you take more pleasure in a team losing than your own team winning? But when your team is sweeping the basement I guess you need something to look forward to eh?

I never even said Vancouver, I said the Canucks franchise, the team that existed since 1970 in the actual National Hockey League. Bringing up the Millionaires is just embarassing.

The rest of your post is the exact arragonce I was talking about. Congratulations on another successful season, but at the end of the day if someone other than Sedin is raising the cup over their head, you still have nothing to be cocky about.

Three things:

1) Chocoloco's avatar is wretched.
2) The shootout in the Hawks game last night was the most excruciatingly long thing that I've seen since Avatar.
3) The Canucks will not win the Cup this year. Who the heck are the Millionaires?

The Vancouver Millionaires played in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. They won the championship in 1915, and the trophy awarded was the Stanley Cup. So Vancouver people like to bring up that the city has won a Stanley Cup, even though it was over 10 years before the NHL even formed.

OMG, Gabriel fucken Landeskog drills it in in overtime again for another win. The media has really jumped on the rookie of the year train for him. Oh yeah!!!

Still closely following the other late western games!

Crucial win for SJ keeping them in the picture. PHX and NSH game very close right now.

Not happy San Jose won, but not surprised considering Edmonton is falling fast.

On the plus side the 'yotes only got one point and helps the avs chances of making the playoffs. I would rather see either the sharks or Pheonix make it over Dallas, but it is so close all that matters is they lose to me now.

I really hope the shootout and red line pass are not taken out next season they really add excitement to the game.

Agreed, if anything they should take out the trapazoid (spelling?) so goalies can play the puck. Less injuries I'll bet.
