Forums - Sales Discussion - 10 Week Countdown 2011 - End Results

My Excel sheet is done, so again anyone who wants a copy of their own can send me a personal message with their email adress.

As for the numbers that are rolling in at the moment: adjustments to last week's number have been made (probably as a reaction to Nintendo's numbers).

X360 slighly up in Americas
PS3 up in EMEAA
Wii significanly up in Americas and EMEAA
3DS down in EMEAA

The combined Q1-3 numbers for Wii, X360 and PS3 have been adjusted from 19.1 to 20.2 million.

A combined 20 million holiday is looking more likely to me now, which noone has predicted.

Damn you adjustments!
admittedly PS3 only up 10k and 360 up 5k for last week, so I don't think me knowing that earlier would have enabled me to predict their large rise for this week... but Wii is up 40k FFS.

yeah seriously, fucking wii adjustment. I'm going to fail on them completely. christ.

I wouldn't put too much weight in these first set of numbers guys.

The key adjustments AFTER the Holidays is where these things are won/lost.

True, I also don't believe 360 is up 75k with a 43% increase in emeaa and 30% increase in NA simply due to battlefield 3.

Even with dance central, it doesn't add up since it wasn't released in emeaa

That's true, but many of us use the current figures to work out how the holiday will progress... so any large change screws up the first 3-4 weeks of predictions at least (for example based on the average weekly sales in August/September, and the rate of increase in October compared with previous years. The Wii would not have gone from the old last week figure of 135k up to what will probably be almost 225k when Japan gets in for Week 1) Perhaps next year it will turn out that they get adjusted back towards where they were, but that's an unknown.

Once worldwide is up I will post them here (or someone else can do this) and then these will be the numbers I use to get the results.
I'll have the results up in the next 2 hours.

Hummmmm... I didn't do a good job .

PS3 -26k
360 -55k
Wii -63k
3DS +12k

i undershot everything by about 30k.

Also, more adjustments? It's starting to get really old. yesterday the gap was 2.8m.

This week, sony outsells 360
>gap increases to 3m
