I'm just happy PS360 are still selling like kings whilst the Wii is dropping hard.

With that said, the final week will be decisive, as I'm pretty sure Dec 24th will have 360 outselling PS3 more than last week.

I do wonder when we'll get the numbers, will be understandable if it's after Jan 1st.

Last words for this year? At this pace, PS3 will take years to overtake XB360, and like I wrote, it could even happen that PS3 overtakes XB360 during the first 3 quarters or the first part of the 4th and is overtaken again during the last 5 weeks of the 4th, before overtaking it again definitively. Anyway, not before 2013, that's (almost) for sure.

who knows what the future holds the lead was microsofts to maintain despite the lack of asian love. you cant have a game system that relies only on multiplats and cool features. somewhere along the line people actually want games.

to win europe you put out a soccer game for 12 months. to win japan you put out a kinect game where youre either grabbing hentai boobies or invasion of the panty snatchers. it's that simple.

2013 is halo 4, alan wake xbla. plus kinect everything else. dont get me wrong heres the kinect lineup xbla or not on surface is kinda nice.

Doubtful that we will see any last words in this thread for a couple of months.

Probably next week VGC updates with 2 weeks of sales.  Causing a bunch of discussion. Then following week Microsoft will give Keynote at CES. Will they claim they were #1 worldwide. That will cause a bunch of discussion. Then that same week NPD results come out.  Will VGC correspond. Again lots of discussion. Finally Sony and MS will announce shipments late January and February..  Even further discussion.

Mmm, CES will be interesting.
