Also, I didn't buy my PS3 because of certain games, not because of Bluray or free online. If I bought a 360 (yes, I don't own one), it wouldn't be for Halo or Gears of War.

See you don't like shooter more likely xbox isn't for you but there are games that aren't shooters like Alan wake,Fable, forza,Dishwasher vanpires smiles, agis wing, viva pinata, crack down,Pgr,Blue dragon,Mass effect 1. Have you tried a xbox by any chance like the xbox orignal?

Dude most of those games are meh compared with what Sony has, if you don't like shooters you are way better off getting a ps3.

One correction...I bought my PS3 because of certain exclusives (not counting first party ones).

Anyways, I do like shooters, but there's something about Halo and Gears of War that just seem meh to me. What interests me on the 360 are a lot of Arcade titles, plus some of the retail releases. Of the ones you mentioned, Alan Wake, Viva Pinata, Crackdown (I love sandbox games), Blue Dragon and Mass Effect 1. I do have an original XBOX and around 19 games for it and there are actually some multiplats that I bought for the XBOX over the PS2 (I think the price of them is what persuaded me).

Alan wake no because it didn't have a demo, I looked into it and don't think I'll like it. Forza no I don't like any racing sims. Dishwasher played demo felt like a flash game (a good flash game but still), agis wing never heard of but sounds like a dogfight sim thing and I don't like sims. Viva pinata played demo didn't like it. Crack down I own it's okay but ps3 action adventure games are way better. Pgr played demo didn't seem any dif then any other racer. Blue dragon, no actually wanted it but couldn't find anywhere. Mass Effect 1, yes didn't really care for it, I like dragon age though. Have you played, Infamous, Uncharted, Yakuza, Folklore, lbp, The Alchemist of Arland, Valkyria Chronicles, Ratchet & Clank Future, Heavy Rain, Flower, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Demon's Souls, Disgaea, Joe Danger, Metal Gear Solid 4 or Sly Cooper?

Microsoft is already doing it with Xbox Live and all the new features of Xbox Live that are going to make people want to stay.

1. Already the dominant online service for entertainment. Not going to say just games, because it is more than that.

2. Starting this fall Xbox Live TV arrives.  Many people will start moving to Xbox Live TV as source for movies, tv, sports, music in the home family room.  People will get addicted to the Natual UI with Kinect and search with Bing for content.

When the next generation starts in a couple of years people that have Xbox 360s and Xbox Live arent going to want to setup new services on new devices that no matter how powerful they are will behind in this area.  So you make the decision to move away from Cable (or in my case DirectTv) and move to Xbox Live TV as primary means of content delivery.  When Xbox vNext shows up no matter what the PS4 has that is where people will go.

The power of the consoles will be comparable to PS4, storage will be similiar, 3rd parties will be treated awesome, development tools will continue to be the best in the business and MS will put more money into 1st parties.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

There is one thing that I remembered that Microsoft needs to do, which is use normal HDD drives in their next system instead of special ones. That's something that I noticed a lot of people like about the PS3, the ability to upgrade their HDDs to a bigger size without hardly any hassle, since they take any standard laptop HDD. If you want to upgrade the 360's one (if you have a small one), then you need to buy a MS issued HDD, which are fairly expensive compared to standard HDDs. I realize they make money off of it, but it's not exactly the easiest way.

I hope they throw in the latest hardwares they can put into it or maybe great enough, compare to the high end PC today that can run the highest resolution of Crysis? Is that possible?

More than anything Microsoft needs to invest in exclusive software. Nothing is more important to potential buyers than seeing killer apps available on only one devise. The first couple years of a consoles life hinge on exclusives. As the years go by they become less important but the next Xbox will need Halo, Forza, Fable, and new IP as well as bring franchises back like Perfect Dark, Crimson Skies, Mechwarrior, etc. Microsoft also needs to invest in expending their first party developers. Nintendo and Sony have dozens of teams working on exclusives while MS likes to pay for publishing rights and timed exclusives. That's fine and it's worked so far, but will Gears of War be exclusive to the next Xbox? Epic owns it so who knows. Mass Effect went multiplatform and so did Bioshock. If Microsoft wants to stay on top they are going to need more AAA 1st party games pumped out by dedicated AAA 1st party developers.

im not aruging that they need more exclusives because they do.  But its kind of unfair to comapre the number to sony and nintendo since at one point it was only those two  and thats probly when sony bought/got most of there compines.

I also think they should keep the paid xbox live just reduce the price back to were it originally was.  And they need to sell for less then sony which will probly be through the roof just like this gen lol
