idk know where everone saw MS say there going to be #1 WW in 2011, what i mean is im the freaking predictor here and if i say something i mean it

No they said number one globally. So it's guaranteeed they will drop price and it means your prediction went out the window BHR.

It was during E3 this year, a direct quote. And im sure they are no stranger to the knowledge on non-UK Europe and Japan favouring the PS3. To be up YOY and to compete against PS3's price cut, a price drop is necessary.

The only snag in the theory is the MW bundle. Perhaps they will wait until 2 weeks after its released and then drop it upon us or like you said, drop the price of the bundle even before it hits........or keep it the same and drop the price of the standard 360s only.

Its been since 2008 that MS truly dropped any prices on the hardware, just value addons over the years since. Im astounded that they are waiting this long.

They started their #1 global 2011 pursuit at e3, every NPD we get the same line, and recently they gave several interviews to websites, stating, they will be #1 worldwide in sales to consumers, not shipments.

Dunno if they're going to do it or not, but If they do, Black Friday is gonna be madness.

As hajime234 said, the price has already been cut in Portugal on both versions. What needs to be cut is the Kinect standalone price by 50€ this season or at least add it a game.

They know sell through, not only do they use NPD and the likes they know how many they're shipping to each country and how much is in the channel and how much retailers need ...

In Brazil we already had a price drop this year and next year another one is coming because MS will start to manufacture the console here.

But a US price drop can't boost sales that much at the end of the generation since it's already pretty cheap. It's time to MS earn as money as possible to keep financing the next Xbox development.

$50 for both kinect and the console is the highest cut worth considering. More likely one of them will be cut $50 and the other (Kinect?) $25
