It's not surprising. Where I am at, I haven't been able to find a Nintendo Power at a newstand for almost 2 years (except at places with massive selections). I was subscribing but they ended my subscription without notice or seeking renewal, so I figured if they couldn't even be bothered to ask me, why should I be bothered to resubscribe?

It's no surprise people are using digital more and more, especially those tech savvy groups like gamers. Ipad and tablets are just causing that trend to excelerate.

Nintendo Power was a pretty good magazine but it wouldn't surprise me if they ended it. Most video games magazines have faltered (some deserved it). Main thing I hate about video game magazines (especially EGM) is that more than half the pages are ads. I know they need ads to make money but that is simply too much for me. Also, it seems that some magazines just went to pure shit (GamePro about 10 years ago). I always viewed Game Informer as pure shit considering they basically have 0 coveraged on Nintendo (plus GameStop publishes it).   My favorite video game magazine would probably be Next Generation. It just seemed way more mature than all the other magazines. Too bad it didn't last too long and eventually wound up on the internet.

I agree with you on Seanbaby being best part of EGM.  I basically sent an email to EGM telling them to stop my free subscription because their magazine sucked.  I told them they better pay Seanbaby more money because he is the only thing good about EGM.  I pretty much wished them failure for their magazine.  They didn't even cancel my subscription and it finally ran out after a few months after sending the email.

print magazines (like print newspapers) will all be extinct soon. online is putting everyone out of business, which is fine with me.

I still like the occasional magazine read. Some things I dont care to look at online, but I am willing to sit for a few minutes and look at in a magazine.

They probably won't all go out of business but there will probably be a few that do.  Unfortunately Game Informer will probably be one of the last ones to go considering Gamestop pushes subscriptions onto most of their costumers.  GameStop faltering is pretty much the only way for Game Informer to stop printing, or when their customers no longer care to be baited by the sales associates for the magazine offer.

It's still around?

Next thing I know, you're going to tell me that they still sell Gamepro .

Dang, I've been subscribing to Nintendo Power for years, and I'd be pretty disappointed to see it go all digital. I like reading my news on-line, but I don't feel anything can replace the feel of actually being able to hold a magazine in your hands.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

that sucks, if Ninty power goes, there will be nothing Ninty exclusive. Thats not right, seeing as how PS and 360 have their own magazines. Game Informer is the best magazine out there right now, They have more coverage, gets coverage on games that the internet guys dont even get, and has the most reviews. All the people crying about little Ninty coverage, give me a break. Ninty is known to be the most secretive of the three, Sony and MS (especially Sony) always spilling their guts. How is that GI's fault?? There not gonna chase Ninty. Good 3rd party support is minimal and they are so secretive about their games on Wii that you cant blame GI for that either. Hell, MW3 is one of biggest games of the year and its a little over a month away, has anyone seen footage of the Wii version?? The reviews for the most part are fair there not gonna review crap like Zumba Fitness and the bachelor not when they have 7 platforms to cover.

Sure you can blame them, especially if you read their editorial content

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Magazines have been rendered pretty much obsolete by the internet anyway, especially with more portable computers like laptops, netbooks, and ipads.
