That's an absurd comment and you know it.

Amazon.com has a $10 promotional credit in addition to the free upgrade to the Anarchy Edition, all week long! And, yes, the 30-second trailers are particularly engaging. It'll be a fun romp.

I was just about to ask if that was the PC version

I know what you mean. Imagine that! This game also has the best use of volumetric smoke I've seen in my life.

It doesn't show as much in the pic, but explosions are full-bodied (flameball) and have enormous kick (debris).
the problem is' since this is the end of the generation there are so many game's being crammed in and tbh rage will kinda flop being in an overcrowed market atm with games like Uncharted , MW3 , Battlefield 3 and gears are gonna take massive sales from it
I believe it will do all right and sell somewhere close to 2 million copies among all platforms. Perhaps it could do better if they didn't choose to release it in a such crowded schedule.
Depends on how success in sales is defined for ID Software. Does anyone really know what their expectation figures are?
In general to the gaming community I think it will be successful in that it adds new elements and a nice design layout to the game. I think I heard a developer rep saying that its not like an average shooter that lasts 6 hours. I think he said it has over 40 hours of gameplay in the story mode alone. So, sales will by no means hit the caliber of the top AAA fps shooters on the market but sales will be respectable in the least. Not only that but I think Rage will open up an avenue for a very good new series of games.

That was the same reasoning that was used by some to say that Borderlands would also end up bombing. Rage is different enough, and its developer well know enough, that it can stand on its own merits. Even if maybe it doesn't do huge gangbusters holiday season, if it holds up to the usual iD quality, then it will pick up sales during the dry season after Christmas.

Certainly make some good change from the engine too. |
They already made some money from the IP through the iPhone game, which sold quite well.
