i hate this game right now. i went into the forest, to invade others. (To get those things to level up Darkmoon) .. after some time, ive been invaded 17 damn times (though i was victorious 14 times.. the 3 losses were to two doods at once, which have used some weird spell, that drains life no matter what i do, a little when holding a shield, and pretty much everything in seconds when unguarded) .. and yeah.. how often did I invade? 0 times..

Darkmoon is really broken. It's even worse if you get summoned via the ring (if you get summoned at all) on Anor Londo, since there are no level restrictions for it. I ended up fighting a 2-1 fight with both guys being SL 300... 

I'll only get the souvenirs from the harpies on Aramis. The drop rate might be crap, but at least I know I can get them there.

doing the same.. got 1 out of like 40 harpyes for now.. ugh

edit: 70ish harpies, 2 souvenirs. of course with 410 Droprate

I dread the moment when I have to do that myself >_>.  Are you farming the harpies from the annex or the spiral stairway?

Annex. i go up there, casting soulmass (which kills that fire/poisondude) then i go further up, guarded by this shield spell, berserking all 4 at once

Strong Magic Shield or Greater Magic Barrier? I can only use the first


there we go again with translation problems xD But it says 'Starker Zauberschild' which simply equals Strong MagicShield, so it cant be the latter. ^^

 

edit: Its definetly the first one you mentioned, looked it up.

So you just block and attack them? How about their crazy jump attack from above which is OHKO? 

cast strong magic shield, let yourself get hit for a bit, and then start laughing about whats going on.

Ah yes, their suicide dive

i didnt want to spoil it, but actually, Strong Magic Shield blocks everything, even if you DO NOT block with ur shield.

Hehe, for compression, I beat Demon Souls on my first playtrought in little under 20 hours :P

Are you sure? I remember using it and being hit for normal damage >__<.

unless my game copy really IS broken, yes i am sure. Magic will still damage you, and the effect goes away if you two-hand a weapon (Shield has to be hold in either of your hands!), but while its active, the Damage harpies do is ZERO. =)

 

PS: Got all Souvenir's, took me about 300-350 of em to get 4.

the miracles were kinda tricky, but it worked out fine.

How did you get into the Warriors of Sunlight covenant? Did you had the required 50 Faith, or did you help as a white phantom a lot?

Where did you get the other 7.5 M?  

I barely have more than 200K at any given time.
