I doubt Nintendo won`t these same games eventually. At least i don`t remember reading anything on that regard.
The article points out to a enhanced retail release... wouldn`t find that strange if there was some kind of compilation of a series with 3D effect, spotpass and streetpass functions, online multiplayer.

Nintendo is a business that wants to make money, so I am sure you are totally right.

You are right. It`s still business for Nintendo. And if there`s a market, there`s probably a will! :)
Nintendo and other companies did make a few ports for GBA - i don`t remember GBA receiving an original Mario, for example, just 4 ports.
Seems that the handheld market is more open to ports.

In time they will, they are just not admitting it yet. Maybe they will after the ambassador's get their free GBA games next year

I want GBA Fire Emblem games on my 3DS!

Maybe because ,at least I think, it is cheaper to make games on handhelds? So the risk is less of a risk.

As far as i know, yes. And it`s always cheaper if it`s a port or a remake! :D

I wouldn't mind paying a couple bucks to pick up a few old GBA games I missed.

Of course it is, unless they are really doing an extensive over haul I would imagine. Stil I cannot think that any port would be that expensive still. Then we got ICO/Shadow coming out. I wonder if there will be anything other than better controls and graphics?

I think it`s safe to assume that it`s cheaper since the game is already done and only some things are being reworked.
Zelda OOT had some redesign on the inventory part, some of those stone were added. But i the end, even with the improved graphics i don`t see that as being expensive.

I think the OP gives a great reason, without the GBA games consumers are more likely to purchase the GB games. I'm guessing Nintendo found sales of earlier platform titles suffered in WiiWare with the release of later games (I don't know if thats the case its a guess). In the end I think Nintendo would be foolish not to make the GBA titles availible eventually, maybe not for a year or so giving the Ambassador's a great oppurtunity to be the only ones playing those games.

In the end I expect GameGear, NeoGeoPocket , WonderSwan and a lot of other handheld devices to see titles show up on eShop. But I'm guessing Nintendo will be slower to release all these titles then they were with WiiWare.

Yes, of course, but first they will have 10 free GBA games for the ones like me.
