VR. You know you want it

I think and have thought for a long time now that they should buy Majesco and Natsume, I predict big money in those companies in the future, their execution is poor but their goals are high, with the guidance of Nintendo they'd be unstoppable.

i think they should first buy another factory to produce more wii's to compensate the incredible demand. Then spend a few million or at least a little more money towards advertising. As for the rest it seems as if nintendo is doing a decent job at utilizing its investment towards innovation. Although, I do feel that it would not hurt nintendo to broaden its field outside of gaming.

Majesco is just a publisher, I don't think they've ever actually developed a game.

As for Natsume, they seem to be content with relying on their Harvest Moon and, to a lesser extent, River King franchises to keep them afloat. Additionally, they also seem to be functioning almost exclusively as a publishing company these days; their development output has been virtually nonexistent.

Hates Nomura.

Marvelous Interactive develope the Harvest Moon games now, published by Natsume in Japan and US, but published by Rising Star for PAL.

Anyone who thinks Nintendo is going to buy giant developers is thinking like Sony, not Nintendo.

Agreed, although I do think buying small talented dev teams could be a successful idea.

GAMES, get more first party studio's happening, buy out good third party devs, buy AAA third party exclusives, make the best online service.

If they're cheap, sure. Don't expect any purchases much bigger than Monolith (As in, small AA teams), because it just isn't Nintendo's MO.

People, Nintendo isn't financially dominating the industry by acting like this, and buying up companies because golly gee, they have a lot of money and why not spend it? They got where they are -- absolute and total financial domination, anyone who would like to claim otherwise will be eviscerated by empirical evidence -- by being careful, precise, conservative, and financially ruthless.

They did not get where they are by spending tons of money and bragging about how much money they spend. Don't expect that to change now.

If we're talking 1st parties, then sure. Sony picks up people who they thing would make great 1st party games. If we're talking industry, how can we ignore EA?
