Skip to the discontinued and downloadable section, you might get a good laugh.

Given your attitude, you haven't read what you posted (or disagree). Aside from DMC, and to a lesser extent FF, I don't see a problem with any of those franchises.
If its the Nintendo absence thats bothering you, people generally view Nintendo titles as NINTENDO titles, and not Japanese ones.

Personally, I disagree with the discontinuing of Disgaea and Val. Chronicles. But there's more right in here than there is wrong.

Why would I be bottered with Nintendo exclusion with a third party article, you should read before posting.

And what was wrong, is the downgrade of good selling games to downloadable titles, and cancellation of small, yet profitable franchises. They actually compared MHP3rd with Val. Chronicles, and they way they compared them was pretty lame too.

Retail list is accurate.

Hmm. I missed that. I was kinda focused on the headline.

Downloadables are also correct. Those are either short games or games that would easily be good as downloadble.

This is odd....

- Pac-Man: (It is a downloadable franchise -_- )
- Sonic (I agree, but making it downloadable WW wouldn't be a great move, and if you make it downloadable in Japan, and retail WW would be pretty odd too)
- Marvel Vs. Capcom (Sales are justified for a retail release)
- Ace Attorney (Sales are more than justified for a retail release)
- Dead Rising (I may agree, but I guess if they decided to localize the second the first one must have been a profit)
- Tekken (Justified for a profit)
- Mega Man (It is downloadable -_- )
- Silent Hill (Agree, but same point as Sonic)
- Phantasy Star (No way!)
- Castlevania (Same as Sonic and Silent Hill)

And personally, read the stuff in the stuff in the discontinued list, as I said, they compared VC to MHP3rd.

Sega killed Valkyria Chronicles by putting it on the PSP so it might as well be discoutinued.

They just gave Disgaea 4 a 8.5/10 and yet they want the series to die? I know the article is about sales but I mean come on.

Basically IGN wants all major Japanese companies to merge and they're pickign what they want to keep at retail, what they want downloadable/mobile and what they want discontinued.

I think you misunderstood the article.

You know what? I read some of those entries and IGN's hilarious comparisons, and I take back everything I've said. The whole notion of lulz 1/2 huge companies is stupid.

This is like the stuff I see on forums. Only worse.

Too late, you already offended me beyond belief.
